I want you

here is my latest ATC (if you haven't noticed I'm really into these lately)
this one I created for the Stampotique challenge thats going on right now...the challenge is "outside the box" here is my creation.

so I made this card and tried thinking outside the box in ways to apply my paint so I used a credit card for the lines and a baby wipe for the dots and the stars were sprayed (nothing new there) I also tried to make a patriotic card yet not your typical patriotic...I really like how it turned out!

I would also like to enter this in the Wicked Wendsday ATC challenge: F-word (flag) and the Friends of SpeedyTV challenge: 4th of July

Where's your head at?

I have started an art journal!
I think this is like the third I have started but hopefully this one I'll keep on doing...I have decided to make it a musical journal...and do a lyric from a song for each entry. I have started others but this is the first one I have finished...yay me! I'm not really into dance music but this music video was played allot back when it was popular...it was by Basment Jaxx

so here is my page...its kinda weird but it was fun to make :)

ok now what did I do...ha ha lets see...I'm using an old book so I used white guesso to kinda cover up the words, then I took a page out of a guarding magazine and glued it on there (the side I liked face down), after the glue dried I sprayed it with water and rubbed it until the top picture came off leaving the images I wanted (faded but I liked it) I then added some acrylic paint in yellow and green, then I modge podged over that, then I cut out my lyrics out of magazines and glued them down, then took some bubble paper and made purple sparkles, then I cut out my Stampotique images and colored them blinged them up then glued them on....and I think thats it...sorry if its confusing but I really like how it turned out...it makes me laugh!

ok now the reasons behind my madness.....

there is a spring time challenge at stampotique - idea - images, spring flowers, and spring colors

there is a challenge at the Octopode factory - bling it on - idea - sparkle everywhere (bowtie necklaces, dress buttons pants shoes, purple spots)

there is a challenge at the Haunted Design house - off with their heads - idea - song lyrics, and switching heads.

there is a group on the Smeared and Smudged Forum that is for Art journals...lots of inspiration there too...and prompt #5 is lyrics....score!

Neclace

ok.... if you follow me you may have noticed that I haven't been posting allot lately...this is due to lack of Mojo...well I think I have found it (yes my craft room is still a mess so that's not where it was...in fact my room is so messy I have moved to the kitchen...no worries I'm getting new organization stuff for my b-day so all should be back to normal-ish soon) I found it in anything but a card..... I have been watching allot of youtube channels and watching other amzing artest work with mixed media, canvases, art journals, clay, albums...and all sorts of stuff...and I'm really excited to start playing again...so hopefully all will work out and I'll have some fun trying new things....here is my first new creationIts a lil necklace using my prom Stampotique stamp, some paint, black stickles, liquid glass, and a bottle cap (junk funk challenge at Smeared and Smudged) it says "Happy Artist" on her forehead...I received a package from Art Chix and that is kinda their logo so I cut it up and made a necklace because I just loved the idea!!! the challenge at stampotique was to create wearable art. so there it is...I hope all my other thoughts turn out better than this but hey its a start :)

Stampotique is having a GDT call and I would love to enter I just love all their stamps and the work the current DT does!

Freak Show calendar

I bought this pocket calendar with the intentions of altering it and I finally got around to doing it
I saw a challenge at Stampotique to create a pocket or purse calendar and so I just had to join.
(I was hoping to have it finished in time to join the HDH this week, but I'm exactly 5 min late:( oh well) I made the paper with shaving cream and acrylic paint (tutorial coming soon to Smeared and Smudged) I stamped my Freak show stamp from Smeared Ink's Cardies set, and bats and a border from CTMH...I colored Perl with my markers and added green stickles to her necklace and headband...

New goal: start projects way before their due date!

2 trick or treaters

Day 19 of the 31 day's of Halloween
I made a tag today...and had so much fun doing it...check it out

I used two images from Stampotique and then stamped a lil trick or treat bag and put it in their hands, added my sparkly boo...colored my girls with markers, I took some spiderweb paper and then took some clear plastic (I cut it from a DVD case) and dripped alcohol ink on it then stuck it to the top of my paper, added some ribbon and there I have it...kinda cool huh? I love it!!!
over at Stampotique they are having a challenge to create a tag, and at Simply Betty Challenges on day 2 of their 12 days of Halloween the challenge says "On the second day of Halloween My true love gave to me Two trick or treaters" and...ya I think thats it...

have fun hoping and good luck winning prizes!

Weird Love

and here is one more card I made for VSN, this one was inspired by the actual quote that I used on the card...and this is what popped into my head when I saw the quote.

also the challenge over at Stampotique is to make faux barnwood, this was really fun! I'm defiantly going to do it again it was so easy! seariously....for VSN we had a 45 min time frame to make our projects and no joke the alarm went off as I was sticking on my quote...PERFECT! So ya 45 min that's (I had to use my heat gun) but I swear most of the time I was picking colors to use and cutting around my images.... I love these guys!!!

thanks for taking a lookie look

I'm afraid

here is a lil something I made inspired by the music video "I'm afraid of Americans" by Bowie and NIN.... this is the rock n rolla challenge this month over at the Smeared and Smudged forum

here is my project

and here is the video

I used stamponique images and made them look like the guys from the video, I wrote it in yellow because of the Taxi...I think...I donno I just saw yellow when making this=) I used my cuttle bug and embossing folder on red paper for the background...then painted it with dark blue streaks and filed it to get some white to show threw, I hand wrote my title to kinda give it a rugged look, I then added the red white and blue jems this was way fun to make and its going to hang in my craft room=)

Over at the Stampotique designers challenge blog the challenge is to use bling
