Bloody Valentine

today I have a bloody card to share with you
I used Allura Von D from Kenny KI colored her with markers and then took my bloody hearts from Smeared Ink and some red nail polish and dripped blood everywhere....not exactly what I had in mind...but not bad...(maybe its because I'm high on nail polish fumes)

Bloody Valentine blog hop day 2

Today I have followed the Very Sketchy sketch from Smeared and Smudged...I have also used a past Smeared Ink freebie:)
I had fun making the background paper for this one...I used acrylic paints blues greens and blacks...then smeared red blood all over it...it was a blast! I colored the image very lightly with red...I just loved the darkness of it and didn't want to mess with it much... thanks for stoping by now be sure to check out all my twisted friends in the rest of this hop...and come back tomorrow for another day of fun!

Bad Example

I'm so excited that HDH has started back up again with their challenges I just love the DT and all the wickedness that goes on there!!! so I created a project for their "got goth" challenge.

Isn't she rad?!? she is one of the Goth Fairies from Smeared Ink...and she is brand new to me, I got the whole set so stay tuned to see more:) I colored her with my pencils then took my nib thing and dipped it in paint thinner to get the colors to blend a little better. the black paper is tissue paper glued to card stock...it made a cool texture, the skull paper is a gift bag (I have made other projects with these) and the green and black swirly paper is some other home made stuff...the quote came from Ginger's House (lots of awesome word art!) oh and I liquid glassed her wings....I think thats it...

Dear Heart / GIVEAWAY

Today is the beginning of another challenge week at the Smudgy Antics blog

now onto my news...as you may have noticed I have been doing allot of digital projects lately...the reason for this is because I won a giveaway and my prize was MyMemories Suite Software!!!! I saw that Terra and Sugar also had this software and I hope they are loving it like me...this is how I have been making my digital cards lately, there are so many tutorials it made it super easy to get started...and the fact that I can export them to jpeg files and share them with my family...and you guys...its just awesome! I already have some baby announcements made, and I'm planning on making my Christmas cards this way too, before I received this software I was just going to take my baby pics to Walmart and have them do it...but I like this so much better! its so much more personal, and with all the free digital papers and kits that are out there it makes it that much easier (yes the majority of my digital papers were free, I think the only ones I bought are from Susan's Crafty Chaos) I also just found out that you can add video and sound to your projects...this will be great when making those baby scrapbook pages to send to grandma, and have a lil video of her cooing or her first steps...oh I'm so excited!

a little bit batty

Today is day 28 of Smeared and Smudged's 31 days of Halloween....ooohhh its so close!
being that today is Friday its also Smeared Ink day :) so I have a Batty digi card to share with you.
I used one of the lil bats from "a little bit batty" digi set...I also used that for my senti...it just fit :)
the papers came from Summer Driggs and the charm came from Lizquis

Day 21...and I'm still here...maybe this kid is going to be on time...that would be cool...right on Halloween! whoa that would be so fun!!! for any of you that wanna know...I feel great! no complaints...well I am tired but that could also be because I stay up all night crafting and stalking blogs :)

now onto the reason you are here...my project

I got a new digital scrapbooking program and I have been playing with it all night, and this is what I came up with...I know its kinda ho-hum but I'll get better!

this guy's name is Hershel...and he is one of Smeared Ink's Owlets (digi set) the background paper is from Crafty Chaos Designs and the sketch came from Fetch a Sketch....
now back to playing with my program so I can get really good :)

Smeared and Smudged's 31 days of Halloween

so glad I got some cards made just in case I don't find time...I had my baby shower yesterday and man I got some cool stuff...I gotta take pics of all my new baby Halloween clothes...I'll try to do that tomorrow...

so here I have a card that I made using the free digi "Frankie" from last month's challenges on the Smeared and Smudged forum.

I colored him up and glimmer misted some green paper and then added black puffy paint to all the stitches...his and the card...I then added my senti...just typed lyrics from Alice Cooper.

Metal Mania

This week's Smudgy Antics challenge is Metal Mania

I played with some wire I had while watching TV and I just loved it...so I added it to this card to make it perfect! I colored my ice cream cone in pencils, stamped the background paper, and only stamped part of the "sweet nightmare" senti....
I followed the sketch for the Fussy and Fancy Challenge

Today I have a fun card for you...
well it was fun to make :)

you may remember this paper that I made a little bit ago for a smeared Ink prject...well here it is again...in another smeared ink project...ha ha perfect matches what can I say...

I used my new Creature feature image Octobat
I colored her with markers and pencils, I then added some puffy paint...and just kinda played around making swirly seaweed like stuff....like I said it was fun to make...

I had several challenges in mind...
first is the Forever Night challenges...it is to use mythical women...ya she's mythical...
Next is the Graphicat Sketches...self explanatory...
then there is Haunted Design House...carnival of Curiosities....thus the freak show and again the Octobat...
then there are a few anything goes challenges (that I love) Paper Playtime, Stamps R Us
and at Order of the Opus Gluei they have a Seaside challenge
and Hooked on Craft Challenges challenges us to use things with wings.

Calypso Tag

Today at the Smudgy Antics blog its the final day of Smudgefest :( but tomorrow the weekly challenges start so get ready for that!
For Sunday's Synonymous challenge you are to use Calypso the rat....thats right there is a freebie but you only have a few more hours to snag her up so hurry!
here is my creation
I made this tag using her and a senti from Stamp Insanity and some of my new fave embellishment glow skulls (you can get them at creepy glow's etsy shop)...the orange background paper I made by embossing some wax paper and then ironing it onto some cardsock then inking over it...it made a sort of resist it was super fun...but the swirls in the paper made the swirly skulls a must...love it! Calypso is just colored with pencils...oh ya and I finally got a corner rounder today...can ya tell?

This month we were given the challenge to alter something....simple enough for me I love to alter...my only problem was what......so after thinking and looking threw my stash I remembered my blog friend Carmen and her blog where she has altered rubber duckies...so I tried my hand at it...not bad for my first try...

whadda ya think of her? isn't she a cutie? I painted her purple then covered her in modgepodge and paper towels....I stamped right on the paper towel...because after all this is a smeared ink hop...and I love to stamp!my stamps came from the Smeared Ink Candy is Dandy set...I put a web on each side and gave her a heart.....awwww...cute...put jewles for eyes and tied a ribbon around her neck...so looking at it I thought it was all sweet and cute and I was going to start over with another duck...until I showed my hubby and he said "whoa thats f***ed up...I like it" so I decided to keep it...that was such an awesome reaction! I already have more duckies on the way so stay tuned...

Welcome to the 5th and final day of Smeared Ink previews :( I have been enjoying everyone elses projects so much!!!

today I'm sharing with you, what I think may be my favorite image....

if you don't know by now I love LOVE bats! they are so cute to me! and this lil guy is freakin' adorable!
I made a lil ATC box with him to hold all the ATCs I've made and swapped...I'm not sure where I found the pattern...I had to alter it anyways :) my guy is tinted with colored pencils and has liquid glass eyes...This month at the Smeared and Smudged forum there is a challenge called the Junk Funk challenge and it is to recycle/use a brown lunch bag...so for my lil box I cut out some cardstock, then took my bag and crinkled it up, then flattened it out, then rubbed a brown crayon over it, then heated it (not really sure why I did this...just seeing what would happen...but it turned out cool) then I glued it to my cardstock (just elmer/pva glue) let it dry then assembled...the "ATC" came from a cuttlebug die, and the green paper is leftovers...I think thats it....thanks for stopping by...and joining me on this new release adventure!

today I've got one of the super cool owls from the Owlets set!

I used the senti from the grumpies set, I put liquid glass on his eyes, colored him with pencils and found some scrap halloweenish paper...I love this card!!! be sure to stop by all the other fabby girls blogs!

Day 2...Sex Kitten Zombie

Welcome to day 2 of the Smeared Ink Halloween release!
today I'm sharing with you Sex Kitten Zombie from the Zombie Pinups set

I made this card for my DH he just loves zombies so I couldn't resist...I took pics before I wrote on the inside...ha ha no gushy stuff for you to read :P


I made a gate fold card...my first...I colored my sex kitten in colored pencils and made the background with alcohol inks (I love the drippy blood looking stuff) The senti is from the same set, and that brain is from Creepy Glowbugg's etsy shop.

Smeared Ink Halloween Release

Welcome to the Smeared Ink Halloween release!!!!

This will be the first of two Halloween Releases. The second will be in September. There are a total of 11 digi sets plus one preview single image. The single is part of one of the sets to be released in September but we thought it would be cool to give a sneak peek.

I used the Zombie MonaLisa from the Zombie Classics set, and made this fabby card...


I just love how it turned out! I colored her with colored pencils and the background paper I made...I stamped...uh I think it was a tree from tattered angels...on some super thin paper, then inked it up, then ripped it up, then modge podged it to some card stock and made it look all wrinkled and kinda vintage...then stuck a ribbon bow on it and there I have it...I didn't want to do to much because I love the image and the paper so I kept it real simple...hope ya like it:)

today I have a digital card to share with you....


I used the images from Femdom from Smeared Ink and I used all distressed papers so I could enter it into the HDH Kuriously Korroded with Kenny K challenge...the image and the words are inspired by the Rihanna S&M the Rock N Rolla challenge with Smeared and Smudged this month...not sure why I did it monochromatic...I guess it just looked better that way :)....be sure to enter these challenges for yourself to win some cool prizes!

beginings of a skull adventure

Happy Thursday everyone!
Due to all the fuss about the Skull Appreciation Day coming up (June 4) I was looking threw my stamps for what I have for skulls and found so many Smeared Ink ones that would work! So I busted out my As Death stamp set to play around a bit and begin my skull adventure...and here is what I came up with...it really got me in the skully mood....like I needed it ;)



For my background paper I painted it purple then smeared a black ink pad all over it. I colored my image with colored pencils then used some paint thinner to blend my colors (new technique I found) I stamped and cut out my favorite quote for this set, and lastly I made some super cool paper buttons (using parts of another as death stamp) another technique I picked up today...this one came from Creepy Glowbugg's blog.
