welcome to day one of our awesome Bloody Valentine blog hop!I don't know about you but I never have liked Valentines day! when I was in high school I was sure to put on an extra coat of black nail polish (I'm serious too) I just never understood all the fuss! so that is why I am more than happy to participate in this blog hop! its my kinda valentine! bloody and gory :D and not just one but 3 days of it (insert evil laugh)
here is my first offering!

I use a zombie hearts image from Dilly Beans...I colored my image with markers, and added red stickles and liquid glass to the hearts, I then took my Smeared Ink stamp and embossed it in red on some black paper, I put it all on some distressed purple paper and made a lil tag out of a CTMH stamps and my own writing...I added a brain from Creepy Glow and some ribbon and there I have it! I think I may give it to the hubs for our Anti valentines day :)

now be sure to check out the other ladies and see what fab things they have created for you! here is the list

Smeared and Smudged day 12

yesterday was great DH made me dinner, and we sat and watched movies all night...(sigh) he's the best! k enough mushy stuff...I also had a Dr apt yesterday...he said everything is good and the baby is where she is suppose to be, she measures what she is suppose to and everything...he checked and said I'm not dilated so he will see me in 1 week...and probably not before then...and I'm ok with that...I really enjoy her kicking me :)
k enough personal stuff lets get down to why you're here...my project for day 12

this is a "swing" card I made for DH
I used the swing template I saw at Split coast stampers, my zombie senti is from Smeared Ink, and the Zombie babe is from Simply Betty. I colored her with pencils, and accessorized with one of creepy glowbuggs metallic purple bwainzzz.
thanks for looking...enjoy the hop! ----->

edit
here is a picture of the card half open so you can get an idea of how it works (that grey box under my watermark is where I deleted what I wrote to DH...ha ha you can't see :P)

Grumpie Scream!

here is my latest grumpie card...its been so long since I have played with these guys!

I love this card! I embossed the "scream" from the "lonely boy and puff" Smeared Ink stamp set, and the patterned paper is a stamp from the "quoth the raven" set. The skulls are from Creepy Glowbugg...and ya...not much else was done to it...and I really like how it turned out...simple and scary! I really wanted him to stand out so I framed him in red so he could be entered into the Haunted Design House challenge this week "I was framed"

Fearless

at Tiddly Inks this week the challenge is "to create a reading-inspired project"
so I did mine off surprise a horror book!

I took Frankiee and colored her up and put her on some cuttlebug embossed paper added some blue creepy glow skulls, and then put a Mary Shelly quote from Frankenstein and there I have my reading-inspired project!
the quote says:

"Beware; for I am fearless, and therefore powerful."
Mary Shelley (Frankenstein)

thanks for taking a look!

New weekly challenge

ugh Mondays suck! I'm so tired today...couldn't sleep...I feel like I'm sleeping with a basketball (she is something like 14 inches long and just over 2lb)...I go to the Dr today...maybe he can suggest something....anywho...to help Mondays along the brilliant minds behind Smeared Ink have begun their weekly challenges on Smudgy Antics...starting on Mondays! you know me I love a good challenge!

last week we kicked of the challenges with a week full of them...called it Smudgefest...there were lots of prizes and fun all around! so today for day one of the regular challenges...they are challenging you to "Create a project that features splatter, drops, splodges, or blots." and you must use at least 1 Smeared Ink stamp on your project....

here is what I came up with.

I used the free digi I got from entering last month's challenges and glimmer misted my papers...I made some bigger drops with the blue by spraying inside my glimmer mist lid and shaking it out...pretty cool if you ask me...I really wanted to think outside the box with this challenge...my first reaction was blood...of course...but I really like how this turned out...but now I want to make a bloody card :) I also used a senti from the occasions grumpies and kinda made it an over the hill birthday card...lots of b-days in Aug for me...I also used another of my fave glow skulls...so much fun!
thanks for taking a look...now go see what the rest of the DT has created for you splatter droppy splodgie viewing pleasure!

Bab to the Bone seeing double

I'm so happy to report that I have found my mojo! it was lost in a tiny apt but now that I'm in my home and have space specifically for crafting...I have found it! yay!!

All weekend I have been crafting and its mostly for the up and coming release for Smeared Ink...the release is on the 15th (Friday) but I have a new project for many days following so be sure to come back:)

Today however...I have made a card for some challenges I have had my eye on for some time now...

don't ya just love these lil buggs? they are Autumn bugg from Tiddly inks that I colored with colored pencils and added glitter glue to their wings, the senti is from TI as well, the green paper is stamped with the skull from the Bombshell stamp set "Speed Shop" the lil green skull is from Creepy Glowbugg's etsy shop.

speeking of Tiddly Inks they have a challenge this week called "Bad to the Bone" and I thought this was fitting, also Tiddly Inks and Make It Crafty have teamed up to bring a Victorian Steampunk release, and you can read all about it HERE.

I would also like to enter this card into the Burtonesque Doll's Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dum challenge.
