Smudgy Antics Skull Time

Welcome to day 17 of the Smeared and Smudged 31 day's of Halloween...
also its Monday that means a new challenge at the Smudgy Antics blog... this week's challenge is called "Skull Time"
So I have altered this skull with my Smeared Ink stampsI bought the skull from Michaels craft store...it was brown paper mache and I painted it white then modge podged some white tissue paper that I stamped onto it...and made it look like thissuper cool huh? I love how it turned out...I should have bought 2...or 3
I used the spiderweb from Candy is Dandy and the rest are all from the Quoth the Raven set....

Metal Mania

This week's Smudgy Antics challenge is Metal Mania

and here is what I created using stamps from the Candy is Dandy set

I played with some wire I had while watching TV and I just loved it...so I added it to this card to make it perfect! I colored my ice cream cone in pencils, stamped the background paper, and only stamped part of the "sweet nightmare" senti....
I followed the sketch for the Fussy and Fancy Challenge

I made this card for the challenge and just love how it turned out!



I colored my Angelica image (from the Devil Dolls set) with colored pencils, and stamped on some already patterned paper with Smeared Ink's Candy is Dandy background stamp. and added some glitter and bling and there I have it...oh and the senti came from Tiddly Inks.

this month's theme is paint! how fun for me...love paint!!!

so I made this

I made the background paper with paint...I started with maroon, added some yellow, splashed on some blue, added some red, smeared in some green, and there I have it...super awesome messy background paper! I added my mushroom stamp from the Killer BoPeep set and just kinda tinted them grey...there was so much color in the background I didn't know what else to do :) the senti came from the Candy is Dandy stamp set....and there i have it

here is my creation

he is a creature from the Candy is Dandy set at Smered Ink
the paper is made by me...brayer rolled and splashed with water, then I embossed him in black and I colored him with markers. added a bunch of ribbon...stapled it on there and...there I go!

speaking of staples...that is the Junk Funk challenge at the smeared and smudged forum this month...use staples :)

July S&S Memer Hopping Ducky

This month we were given the challenge to alter something....simple enough for me I love to alter...my only problem was what......so after thinking and looking threw my stash I remembered my blog friend Carmen and her blog where she has altered rubber duckies...so I tried my hand at it...not bad for my first try...

whadda ya think of her? isn't she a cutie? I painted her purple then covered her in modgepodge and paper towels....I stamped right on the paper towel...because after all this is a smeared ink hop...and I love to stamp!my stamps came from the Smeared Ink Candy is Dandy set...I put a web on each side and gave her a heart.....awwww...cute...put jewles for eyes and tied a ribbon around her neck...so looking at it I thought it was all sweet and cute and I was going to start over with another duck...until I showed my hubby and he said "whoa thats f***ed up...I like it" so I decided to keep it...that was such an awesome reaction! I already have more duckies on the way so stay tuned...

It's another Smudgy Antics Sunday
and I have a fun birthday card to share with you....April is a month full of birthdays for me...even my own is on the 9th...so you'll be seeing allot more b-day cards!


I just love this Candy is Dandy stamp set its so much fun to play with and you can do so much with it! My ice cream cone image was colored with markers and the senti is embossed... the inspiration for this came from my desire for ice cream all the time... at least its not ice cream and pickles :)

Birthday Girl

ok I know allot of you have seen this post about the super sweet Rio, well if not go check it out its very touching!

so I made her a card and I'm getting it in the mail tomorrow...I really loved coloring her and can't wait to do it again! I have seen so many wonderfull ideas on how to color her I must try them out. here is what I have made.


also over at Simply Betty Challenges its a sketch challenge so I just had to play along! I colored my birthday girl in colored pencils and then liquid glassed her spider web, added some bling, I stamped and embossed the background of my green paper using my Smeared Ink candy is dandy stamp. I'm so happy with how it turned out, and I hope Rio has a very happy birthday!

Killer bo peep box

Welcome to the Smeared and Smudged January Member Blog hop!

Since its a new year the theme was "Something New" try something new, use a new stamp...etc

so I did both, I found this pattern and made a box

and you open it up it unfolds and here is the inside


pretty cool huh? I don't have anything in the lil boxes just yet...well nothing but paint because I'm messy...but I was thinking of putting like paper clips and thumb tacks in it and putting it on my desk....

the paper I painted and stamped using my (at the time) new candy is dandy background stamp, and then I used my new killer bo peep stamps. I'm in the process of writing up a tutorial so be sure to check back later for that....

Candy is Dandy / YourStory Recipe book

Today is my day to share a Smeared Ink project with you and I'm so excited to show you...There is a challenge over at the Smeared and Smudged forum, the wonderfully talented Alex has challenged us to make a book....after reading that I knew I wanted to make this one....

my very favorite Dessert recipes all in one place (yes Just Desserts has double meaning) I had so much fun coloring these images up and they were perfect! this is almost all of the stamps from the Candy is Dandy stamp set...but they are the only stamps I used...I colored them with sharpies cut them out and put them all together laminated them and used my new YourStory photo machine and made a super cute book! I hope you can tell how much fun I had with this! I wanted to laminate everything so this book would last...not only am I a messy crafter I'm also a messy cook:) this book actually has 12 pages but the other two had no decorations on them...the recipe took up the whole page...The font I found on the Bombshell Stamp site.

Candy is Dandy b-day card

ok here is that card I promised you on Sunday....
you know how it goes around the holidays.... busy busy busy

this card is for my niece's birthday...and its using my new Smeared Ink Stamp Set "Candy is Dandy" that my wonderfull mom gave me for Christmas! Seriously I was so happy to get these two stamps! not only that but she also gave me the alcohol inks I used to make that background paper, she made me like this whole alcohol inks kit with the applicator, refill pads, different colors, the metallic mixing inks, the blending solution, and even a fallible pen! cool huh? I'm having so much fun playing with these!
