January S&S Hop: Mesh It!

hi! welcome to another Smeared and Smudged blog hop!
I missed last months so I was so excited to join this month! I had a blast creating my project!
the theme this month is "Mesh it" and here is my project

I guess its a wall hanging...the base is cardboard (a really cool painted piece I got from my Secret Santa..thanks) the cardboard has white, gold and yellow on it, then I colored my Accordion player from the Carnies set (this is my first time using her...this is one of my new SI sets) ...I colored her with markers and then I added some black mesh I got from my mother in law...it was Halloween decorations...curtains I think... then I dropped handfuls of buttons in the corners and put Elmer's (PVA) glue on them to hold them in place, added some home made spirals and my senti from Ginger's house and there I have a super rad project!

here is the rest of the girls be sure to leave lots of love!

Smudy Antic Gremlins

Today there is a new challenge at Smudgy Antics!

the challenge is to be inspired by a book, poem, or movie
so I decided to combine this with the Smeared and Smudged "Oh the Horror" movie challenge Gremlins, and made this waterfall card

I used two grumpies and a background stamp from the Urban Decay set. the rest is hand written.
its the rules for owning a Gremlin, I tried to color the grumpies like the two main Gremlins(Stripe, and Gizmo)

so there ya have it, now come join us at Smudgy Antics for your chance to win a new digi image not even in the store yet.

Lady Godiva

today I want to share with you a stamp that 3rd Coast Stampers just released...and I'm the one that gave them the idea to make it!!! how cool is that?!? You're welcome :)

isn't she hawt? I love the story of Lady Godiva and I'm so happy with how this stamp turned out..the horse just looks amazing!

I colored her with my colored pencils and added chalk to the background, distressed some paper, and then I made a flower out of paper towel roll....its the junk funk challenge this month at Smeared and Smudged...every moth they give you a new "thing" to recycle and make a project with...I found this flower on this blog...and it just fit perfect with my card...the senti is a famous quote by Laurel Thatcher Ulrich...

~UPDATE: 3rd Cost just featured my card on their blog! how cool is that!?!~

thanks for taking a look I hope you love her as much as I do!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Suspiria, oh the horror

here is a card I made for the "Oh the Horror" challenge
Oh the horror is where a horror movie is chosen, and you are to make a creation based on the movie or the movie poster.... and this month it is Suspriria
I told this movie to my hubby and he told me how much he liked it and knew I would like it too, so he bought if for me and....well he was right I loved it!
it is so gory and full of suspense, it was a great movie, and it has Joan Bennett in it and I love her! she was in Dark Shadows and that was the best show ever!

so now onto what I created

do ya love it or what?!? I took the movie cover from the DVD and cut it up, then I took my bombshell and wrapped her in wire (like the scene in the movie where she fell in the razer wire...so cool!) and then I took some more wire and made corner pieces and added some metal flowers I got from CTMH.

now be sure to go enter this or one of the other amazing Smeared and Smudged challenges this month for your chance to win a free SI image!!

DD Smeared and Smudged DT blog hop

Today, our wonderfully talented DT has come together to share art using images from Delicious Doodles. Delicious Doodles is one of our challenge sponsors this month on the forum and we're so grateful! Teri (from DD) is super talented and also cool enough to join us today on our hop.
~yes this was stolen from Tori's blog...it was just so well put:)

I got to work with Love's Faded Memory image and I love this! I have so many ideas!!!
here are two

can I just tell you how much I love this image! I think my favorite part is how great the shading is...ha ha its done for me...so cool!!!
For the card I distressed the hell out of the edges then pasted them to my paper and added some jems... then I made a little trinket box I colored my image and put some UTEE on it then put it in the freezer and then cracked it the pic just doesn't do it justice I really love the way it turned out....I did plan on making a necklace with this same image to go inside but I didn't get the glass ordered in time...as soon as it gets here I'll make it and show you...no worries!

now go hop along and see what the other DT members have made for you with these fab images! then end at the Smeared and Smudged forum so you can enter the challenge and win some for yourself!

Killer bo peep box

Since its a new year the theme was "Something New" try something new, use a new stamp...etc

so I did both, I found this pattern and made a box

here is what it looks like closed
and you open it up it unfolds and here is the inside

pretty cool huh? I don't have anything in the lil boxes just yet...well nothing but paint because I'm messy...but I was thinking of putting like paper clips and thumb tacks in it and putting it on my desk....

the paper I painted and stamped using my (at the time) new candy is dandy background stamp, and then I used my new killer bo peep stamps. I'm in the process of writing up a tutorial so be sure to check back later for that....

thanks for stopping by...here is a list of the other super fab ladies...then head on over to the Smeared and Smudged forum and see what kinda mischief were getting into...

with the green one, I painted it then stamped it with stazon black, and yes I drilled the hole myself...very proud! and with the pink one I used 2 different colors of sharpies and blended them before they dried, then glued the bead on top and jewel with some E-6000

Sybology of Angels Neverending

On the Smeared and Smudged forum there is a section for Tutorials, and I found one called Kustom Kulture Neverending Card by Terra...and so I had to try it out and here is what I came up with
fold 1

Fold 2fold 3fold 4

I made my own paper with acrylic paint, and a glitter on one, the words from the symbology of angels stamp set on the other, the images were stamped and a little color was added, and their wings were painted with glittery nail polish, and tried to use all my angels from the symbology of angels stamp from smeared Ink, the one I didn't get to use I'll put in a card...hopefully for tomorrow...don't want anyone feeling left out;) in the first picture those angels were stamped on some clear plastic so the paper could be seen. and the last photo those boxes were left a little plain in case I wanted to write a message to whomever I gave this card to.

this card was so fun to make but even funner to play with....Hopefully I'll play enough that it will lay flat and I can update the pictures....as I'm typing this my husband is freaking out he thinks its so cool! and now he wont give it back:(

Here are the challenges I'm entering for this card
Lots To Do - Glitz
I did it creations - Creative folds
One Stitch at a time - anything goes
Opus Gluei - anything
Karber Challenges - Fantasy
Creative Card Crew - Anything
FreshBrewed challenge - Sparkle and Shine

Day 3 Angel tag

hello all...welcome back...
this post is going to be short I'll try to write more tomorrow its like 2am and I have to go to thanksgiving tomorrow with my fam...ya its late I know...but enough of that...
here is a tag I made with the Smeared Ink's Symbology of Angels set, I embossed green paper, inked it in brown and sanded it, then sprayed it with glimmer mist...just the goldish one...and then let that dry, printed out a snipit of Hark the Harold angels sing...song and inked that all up and got it glimmer misted, I then stamped my image with stayzon ink onto some plastic I cut off of an old DVD case (ours are all in big 300 CD books...better storage and organization) any who... I stamped that and let it dry I then went and made a dolop of hot glue and stuck my Prase image into it (idea I saw on Terra's blog) I then painted it a bronze color....stuck everything together...added some eyelets and there I have a pretty snazy tag.....
be sure to check out the other blogs on this Jolly hop.....all the links are on my sidebar....see ya in a few.....Oh and I don't know if you know this but every day of the week someone on the design team will have something for you to see...Sunday is my day...just a lil FYI for ya....k see ya later...

Joy angel

here is a card I created for the Burtonesque Dolls sketch this week

I used my symbology of Angels stamp set from Smeared and Smudged, I colored his wings and added glitter, I cut him out some underpants and stamped the word joy in white paint and added some denim..I really didn't want a whole lot going on behind him because I wanted him to stand out...and I didn't add to much frill because I wanted a very manly card.....I love these stamps and I can't wait for next month...I have some really cool ideas for them!!

I'm afraid

here is a lil something I made inspired by the music video "I'm afraid of Americans" by Bowie and NIN.... this is the rock n rolla challenge this month over at the Smeared and Smudged forum

here is my project

and here is the video

I used stamponique images and made them look like the guys from the video, I wrote it in yellow because of the Taxi...I think...I donno I just saw yellow when making this=) I used my cuttle bug and embossing folder on red paper for the background...then painted it with dark blue streaks and filed it to get some white to show threw, I hand wrote my title to kinda give it a rugged look, I then added the red white and blue jems this was way fun to make and its going to hang in my craft room=)

Over at the Stampotique designers challenge blog the challenge is to use bling

Life is sweet vampire

today I have made a card using my new Digi from SBS her name is Vampiress Darcy and she is currently on sale! The Challenge at the Simply Betty challenge blog is digi meets rubber, you are to use both of them...so I used my CTMH stamps for the background and the sketch I got from The Sweet Stop their challenge on top of the sketch is to decorate the inside...so I did that too....and last but certinly not least over at the Smeared and Smudged there is a photo inspiration challenge! and that is where I got my color idea from!
I colored the card with markers and that lil flower embelli is also from CTMH

Angelic jewlry holder

this is a jewelry holder I made using a picture frame and some plastic mesh.I took the frame and plastic and painted it black them black and then ripped up a news paper and modgepodged it to the frame and added some sparkle, then I had my husband drill me some holes and added some cut up dowels, I then stapled the plastic to the frame and I thought I was set...until I received my Symbology of angels stamps and I knew they must be added, so I colored their underpants and shrinky dinked them then I threaded them onto some thin wire an added it to the top....I still may rearrange them but I like this for now....and it matches my black and white angel bathroom....
sorry the pics are so bad but I just couldn't get the right light...it has been storming really bad all day...I'll try to replace them later.... I'm entering this into the delicious doodles challenge where anything goes.
be sure to stop by the Smeared and Smudged forum we have a challenge going on there right now where you can actually win these handsome hunks!
also be sure to stop by tomorrow for a really sexy surprise;)
