Feather or fur

Over at Smudgy Antics We want to see feathers or fur or a combination of the two. I went with feathers and the whole feathers theme and made a lil steam punk bird house

 isn't it cute? I painted it black then added some copper, added some different things for texture and my digi from smeared ink's Heavy metal set (transferred it using a technique I saw on the Smeared and Smudged forum from Shell) I then added more paint and some more cogs/gears and then I added my feathers dagling right there front and center...with a lil key....

last day Digi sale

today I have two simple dominoes to share with you....just to remind you that there is only one more day for the big sale at Smeared Ink..then these Digis will be gone forever.

this one is made with pink sharpies and a dream stamp I got from....somewhere and the heart wings stamp from the heart wings digi set...I used some sparkles on the heart and liquid glassed the whole thing

this one is my man Poe I used him and the Nevermore senti from the quoth the raven digi set and the lil red raven is from the holy city stamp set and the background is green alcohol ink.

but see you cant make dominoes with rubber they aren't small enough but with digis you can resize...think of the possibilities....here is a link to the store you know you want some ;)

today I created a card for your viewing pleasure

I have been seeing all sorts of clean and simple cards so I thought I'd give it a go and created this with an image from Smeared Ink's wonderland set! I made this lil belated birthday card. I colored my image in pencils added some glitter and liquid glass to the clock, and typed up my senti and went around all the borders with different colors! it was way fun and I think its kinda cool how it turned out...not my usual but still cool.

Specimen jar Box

this week at Smudgy Antics we want to see your Altered Boxes!!!!

"You may use any type of box.  The box can be big or small, cardboard or wood, or even plastic.  The shape can be creative as well.  Do you have any leftover heart shaped boxes from Valentine's Day?  If so, you may be a hoarder, but you will have a cool box to work with!"

 here is my creation:

I took an altoids tin and painted it brown then added some modeling paste and panted that copper and then added some gold highlights  then I colored up my man from the Specimen Jar set at Smeared Ink and I added him to my box and covered it with butterflies and swirls....I had allot of fun with this just filling it up with butterflys...now what to go in it....a butterfly neclace perhaps...hmmmm

King Friday the 13th

 today I have an art journal page to share with you

 ya my daughter has been watching allot of Mr. Roger's and when I saw this Cole stamp at Smeared Ink I thought...hey he kinda looks like King Friday...so I made a page inspired by that :) I used some mesh tape I found in DH's stash :) I painted the page brown then put that tape down and added some blue paint...then I added my image and words and birds (kind friday had pet birds) then I went over the whole thing with some bee's wax and some gold paint and some glitter...I just had fun with it...and it was I was giggling the whole time...I love my creepy king :)

Freaky Freebie

today I have a fun card to share with you!

this is Froggie Fae and he is from Smeared Ink and he is the Freaky Freebie over at Smeared and Smudged. I created this lil birthday card with him I colored him up with pencils and added glitter to his wings and the background...that was created with a paint spinner it was so much fun I felt like a kid again :)

Throwdown #4

I got to participate in the DT Throwdown over at the Smeared and Smudged forum for the first time today!  The theme was Leather and Lace
and this is what I created

its a lil canvas plaque with the girl from the FemDom set from Smeared ink...I printed her out and added a bit of color and some liquid glass to her outfit...then distressed the background...then I stuck her on the canvas and added some lace and other bits and bobs bottle caps, pearls, buttons, safety pins...then painted over it all with grey...this was really fun and I got the idea from the Mixed Media section on Smeared and Smudged a class ran by Shell here. so much fun to do...I'm really liking playing with these canvases :)

Bombshell hop

Welcome to the Bombshell Hump Day Hop....this month's theme was a color challenge and so I went digital

I used my new peekaboo digi stamp and colored her up and got some digi papers and embellies and created this card...I took the colors right from the sample so I know they match :) this was really fun to make and that geisha is so freakin cute I love her! I can't wait to create again :)

glitter and gore and news

Today I have a canvas to share with you....I created it for the new challenge over at Smudgy Antics where there is a big announcement!!! I have been asked to come back to the DT!!!! wahooo!!! so happy when I got that email! this is such a great team and such a talented group I'm so happy to be a part of it!

so onto my peice! I used one of the girls from the broken and bleeding set

Isn't she awesome?!? I just love the way this turned out...so glad when it turns out like whats in my head!

so I took my girl and colored her with pencils and her butterflies, then I added liquid glass to her eyes and bloody tears...and glitter to the flowers in her hair and the butterfly heart...then I diecut my words and painted them red and added glitter took my canvas and added some modeling paste, used some masks and then painted it black glued my words, then took a red crayon and heated it and made it all drippy...super cool huh?!?!? here is a more close up and you can see that there really is glitter there...bummer the camera didn't make it show up better...love this in real life....and it was so fun to make.

Dirty spring steampunk

 today I have something Dirty to share with you....now get your mind out of the gutter its not that kind of dirty...its dirty vintage, but thats a good idea I'll have to create something dirty next :)

Today is the April Member Blog hop for Smeared n Smudged and the theme is Dirty Vintage so I created this!

he is one of the steampunk images from Simply Betty, I colored him with pencils then I stamped the gears and watches on the green paper and distressed the background made it look really dirty and added some lace but it was to girly so I burned one side of it and now I really like it!

quoth the Lady Raven

today I have a new card to share with you

I used an image from Kenny K...I think she's my fave...her name is Lady Raven and I colored her with pencils and paint, and stamped quoth the raven from Smeared Ink's rubber stamp set by the same name.

I created this card with a couple of challenges in mind first there is the SnS junk funk challenge where were to use junk we have around the house...this month its tin foil...and I painted mine with some blacks and greens...I love the metalics of this card. next up is Smudgy Antics a tick tack toe challenge and I went accross with metal, flowers, and ribbon...then there's the Kenny K krafty krew diecuts and punches and I used my tim holtz tattered florals die. I would also like to enter it in the Quoth the Raven challenge pick 3 and I chose metal, flowers, ribbon, and then I added a lil clay Raven and a poe quote so I think I'm good :)

one lifetime with you

today I have a digi card to share with you...I'm going to print it out and give it to my husband...we are kinda closet nerds when it comes to Lord of the Rings :)

I know its not an image of Arwen but hey its close! I got her and the background from DeviantArt her name is actually sylvidra (I think) and she is a digi from JadeDragonne, and the background is from UKthewhitewolf and the senti is from the movie (of course) I made this for the Movie Magic challenge....HP vs LOTR....

and while I do LOVE LOTR there is still a place for HP... I shared this on my FB page not to long ago and I thought I'd share it here too...Stephen King rules!  

dirtbike racer

I have another card to share with you using the same image...she's just so cool!

this was a birthday card for my lil brother...he races dirtbikes and has a Kawasaki so he is all about the green! oh and his number is 44...the image is from Barbara Jensen, I painted the background and diecut the numbers then added some bling I colored my girl up with pencils and typed the senti "if you come between me and the finish line, there will be blood"...the inside says "and dirtbikes don't bleed"  I found it somewhere online...I thought it was perfect! my lil brother is the best! I love him so much...happy birthday booger! I hope your having fun at supercross!

the image is from Barbara Jensen, I just got her and I got the perfect idea to use her the other day when someone was talking nasty about the Smeared Ink company and friends, she called us a bunch of nothings and told us to go play with our bloody brains...so this is for her! :)

I colored her with pencils and made the flower...the brain is from Creepy Glow's etsy shop...the background paper is painted...well and a lil scrap I had in my stash...
I followed a sketch from Graphicat (#16) and I'd like to enter this in their current challenge...thanks for stopping by :)

Bombshell hop

Welcome to the Bombshell Hump Day Hop

I really debated on joining this month, and I'm so glad I did I love playing with my bombshell stamps!

today I played with my Anchor Mermaid set, and I colored her in black and white (with a graphite pencil) then glimmer misted my stencil of a compass in blue and black on the base of my card and stamped a map and a lil senti and there I have a super cute card...I really like how it turned out...I stapled it all together...that was kinda a last minuet not planned but kinda cool sort of thing...I didn't have any other way of adhering...no double stick tape, all out of glue sticks and hot glue so staples it was :)

I can't wait to see what these other girls come up with...be sure to check them out!

Gothic easter

today I have a Domino Book to share with you...I made it the other day and just put the cover on it today...finally!

its for the DominoArt challenge blog...the images were a freebie from Rick St Dennis(thank you) and they were a little cute so I made them a little goth :) thats just the way I roll...I did add some glitter to their accessories and Easter eggs...it was actually really fun to color like this...really tiny but really fun :) I think I might make another!!!

End of the rainbow blog hop

that is the theme for this month's Smeared and Smudged blog hop...END OF THE RAINBOW now as much as I wanted to go all dark and creepy as in true Smeared Ink style I just couldn't get this thought out of my head...I kept seeing only rainbows and nothing dead....sad I know...I'll have to kill something in my next project but for now this will have to do

its an art journal page (in case you couldn't tell) I started with some news paper and tore it up and covered one side of my book then took some paints and used all the colors to create...well a rainbow :) I added some sparkle then some white and black paint splatters and then stamped some words all the stamps are from Smeared Ink's Inky Dreams stamp set...and went over it with sparkles then I wrote all over the page about art and my lil one speaking of...she made something too

isn't she the cutest? so into what she's doing...at the end of her rainbow is tigers, so I stamped a tiger in the middle of a paper and I gave her a bunch of colors to paint with...it turned out so cute...shame I already lost it...I know I'm terrible but trust me its cute...I'll find it and post it.

Man's Ruin Bombshell

today I have a sassy card to share with you...thats right I said card not digital card :) my lil one has become more content playing alone causing me to craft a little bit more....she even crafts with me but more on that another day.

can I just tell you how much fun I had with this card...I forgot how much I love to paint!
so I took my  Man's Ruin stamp set colored her up and added liquid glass to the glass, and then added sparkles to the bubbles and skull...the paper was all painted by me.
I followed the sketch for this month from the Bombshell challenges! so much fun!!

I created another digital page...this one is using some grunge papers and a quote from John Lennon

I found the perfect sketch at graphicat sketches to showcase my papers and my super cool chick! I colored her up in gimp and added flames to her skateboard, the papers and embellies are from my memories suite, and the senti is one of my faves!
