Fat Page garden

here is the page that I made for the Fat Page Swap over on Smeared and Smudged

I got to give it to angiesuez and she said she likes it...and I hope she does! I had so much fun making it...with all the chalkboard stuff going around I thought I'd make it look kinda like that...with the mushrooms on the front and spiders on the back (stamps from the Killer bo peep set) I also made a bunch of little tags to go inside that she can write on or put little pics or whatever!

be sure to join us next month for another fat page swap!

Mary Mary

Today I have an art journal page to share with you.

now this is for the Smudgefest challenge for day 6...Saturday Splatter...and there was almost a splatter of real blood on this one...I sliced my finger on my paper cutter...it was jammed so I was trying to fix it and...well I un-jammed it...@#$%&$ ouch!!!

now onto my page

I took the Freaky Freebie from the Smeared and Smudged challenge this month (mary mary quite contrary) and I colored her up, printed out the first part of her story, and then I got to the fun of getting messy with my page...I gelli printed the background then I added red paint, red alcohol inks, more red paint (almost some red blood) then I glued everything in place and painted some more...I really like how it turned out...very dark and Splatter-ific (ha ha yes I made up a word)

alrighty now to rest my finger and get ready for tomorrow's challenge!

What does the fox say?

smudgefest is about 1/2 over :( I love this...I love all the art work and inspiration!
today's challenge was a photo inspiration challenge...here is the photo

and this is my take on it.
I was inspired by the animal and the colors and the circles to create this

I was also inspired by the Rock n Rolla challenge song "what does the fox say" lol that song makes me laugh! I can't believe they did that to promote their show and it became so big...ha ha awesome!
so my page is an art journal page, and the background is a gelli print, and then I added some teal border, and my shiny dots then I printed off the lyrics and my image of Bakeneko (I know she is suppose to be a cat...but with those big ears and the right colors I say she looks pretty foxy)

can't wait to see tomorrow's challenge

Bee Yourself

Welcome to another fabulous monthly blog hop with the Smeared Ink Design Team!
Today's theme is Monochromatic! And I chose Yellow!!!

I am really into bees lately and me and DH are going to start keeping bees...I'm really excited! we will be getting them in the Spring! so I took a bee from Smeared Ink's Queen digi set, and the crown, the "bee yourself" stamp was one from my collection (don't remember where from) and made this little ATC...added some glitter and used allot of paint...boy did I have fun!

Edit~the background is made by me...just an old book page I painted first with a watered down yellow, then tore it up and glued it down then glued it again...this part took forever to dry for someone impatient like me :)

"bee" sure to check out the other ladies in the hop, and stop by the Smeared and Smudged forum and say hi to us in The Vent! and share some art work, we love to see it!!

Grumpie Love

I have a project to share with you! I created a little game for my little girl!
I used the grumpies from Smeared Ink and stamped them all on some post cards, then I used the little grumpies and put them on a postage stamp and she can match the grumpie and the color to the card...I will get some velcro to adhere them but for right now she is having fun just setting each stamp where it goes...I had so much fun making this and the fact that she is having fun playing with it makes it all worth it!

oh and because she is a toddler I laminated it all therefore I didn't get very good pics...except of her playing...those I love!

have an awesome day everyone, and if you have any questions just let me know.

Comparing babies

so I had so much fun with my last digi project and the sketch from Smeared and Smudged's very sketchy...I thought I'd try the Scrapbook page sketch :)

isn't my lil guy so handsome?!? this was him at about 2 months and I just love his lil face!
the skulls came from some Smeared Ink paper, and the baby is from the demon baby set...not the real one thats from me ;) the rest were just lil extras I picked up here and there online.

have an awesome weekend...now I'm off to cover this lil guy in kisses!

Quoth the raven

made another digi card!

I'm in the process of remodeling my craft room so I'll be sharing digi creations...maybe..I'm aching to get inky and messy so we'll see...

this card was made using the very Sketchy sketch over at Smeared and Smudged...and over at Quoth the Raven the Master has requested us to use flowers in our creations.

the Poe image came from Smeared Ink as did the red background paper behind him...the other elements came from Digicats, and The Raven quote was typed up and scrambled in an online program.

This was loads of fun to make! now I think I'll go create something with the scrapbook sketch :)

stole my heart

Today is the Smeared Ink monthly hop! wahoo I love these hops and especially when they have a theme like "Do your own thing" because then everyone's talents come out!

with a one month old and a 2 yr old I don't know how much talent can really shine...my lil man is such a big eater seems like thats all I do...one month old and he already weighs 13 lbs!  he is screaming at me to eat as I type this so I guess I should stop rambling :)

here is what I have come up with as far as my own thing goes :)
mmmm I love me some Norman Reedus! he is so freakin HOT! I watched all of the walking dead when I was big and pregnant and not wanting to move much...then when I had to take it easy after he was born I watched season 4 so now I'm all out of show to watch so I just have to rely on images to make me happy...and this one makes me so happy...jut the thought of Norman with a baby....my baby perhaps ;)

I used gimp and combined my Smeared Ink zombies (the set is called build a zombie, and its available in rubber if you join the club as a past offering I got this in Digi back when it was available.) I put the zombies together using GIMP and then I made my scrapbook page in My Memories Suite...the sketch is actually from last month's very sketchy challenge I just loved it and had it saved on my desktop I just had to use it! oh and the heart paper is also from Smeared Ink its part of the "Poe boy" digi set.

(if you are still reading this, no my baby isn't screaming anymore now I'm feeding him as I type this...multi-talented here!)
please hop along with the rest of the DT I know I can't wait to see what they have created!

Alone again

today is the new release hop for Smeared Ink's I Loved Alone images!
these were some great images to work with! be sure to check out what all the ladies have created (the blog hop list is at the end of my post)

for my creation I played in my art journal a bit, I took the title of the images and was inspired by a song (surprise surprise) the song is Alone Again by Gilbert O'Sullivan.
I  made the background with a gelli plate (homemade) and then I colored my Loved Alone Octopus with some colored pencils, and wrote my lyrics on my page and there I have it...so much fun to make...and I love these octopus images...they are so fun!
be sure to check out the rest of the hop for your chance to get this digi set for free!

Smeared Ink DT hop

Welcome to the February DT member blog hop...the theme this month is Redrum so of course my mind went to Stephen King's The Shining, and the creepy lil boy that wrote that on the door...so thinking of that lil boy (Danny) made me of course think of the parts I thought were the creepiest and that was the parts with the twins...

I decided to go digital for my project!
I used the Melina Goth Fairies...and just duplicated her into the creepy twins from The Shining...everything was colored in GIMP and then combined in My Memories Suite...the background paper is from Smeared Ink's Slasher paper set. Then I typed all my words and arranged them and I think it gives off a really creepy vibe...just like the show :)

Here is the rest of the blog roll...be sure to start at the beginning so you don't miss anything!

Wisdom

Today I would like to share another journal page with you! this one is using one of Smeared Ink's new owl images...I love owls!!!

Isn't he the cutest? the background was made mostly with my Gelli plate, I added some more paint to the edges and then some stamps from Quoth the raven (also Smeared Ink) and then I stamped the word Wisdom...Owls are always looked at as wise creatures :) I'm thinking I'm going to add some actual journaling of my own to this about some wisdom I have learned from my Mother inlaw and if I do I may share it...depending on how personal I get :)

thanks for taking a peek! have an awesome week!!!

eight arms to hold you

today is day 7, the final day of Kickstart your art over at the Smeared and Smudged blog...
and today's challenge is Easy Water Blotting Background!
so I used one of the new images from the Octopus Pie set.
the lil octopus guys at the bottom are from Stampotique, and the quote is from The Beatles
short story...I asked my husband for an octopus quote and he said "eight arms to hold you" and I was like whats that from? and he said it was the alternate title for The Beatles' movie Help...so there you have it!
I went over my background with distress ink...then I smeared some more distress ink on top of that in different colors, I took some bubble wrap and got it wet and put it on top then blotted it, then I let it dripp from the top and then blotted that too and there I have my page...I really like how it turned out...I'm so happy with my Art Journal right now I really enjoyed this week of challenges...it has forced me to be creative and I really needed it!

have an awesome week everyone!

Texturizing the Cure

today is day 6 of Kickstart your art over at the Smeared and Smudged blog...
and today's challenge is TEXTURE!

I combined it with my Musically Challenged challenge which is to be inspired by gothic music...either a song, or a music video...and when I thought of goth (and when I asked my husband) I thought of The Cure and the song Burn...so here is what I created...

my image is from Sweet Pea Stamps...Ching Chou Kuik's Fall Woods...and I colored her up with pencils, then glued her to my page, and wrote my lyrics on a baby wipe I cleaned up black paint with a while ago, it says "Every night I call your name, Every night I burn, Every night I fall again." I glued a piece of tissue paper over an already painted background, then added some black crackle paint on top of that.

I hope you have a chance to join us this time over at Musically Challenged, and get a chance to win some Sweet Pea goodies for yourself! And if your really into challenges and music you can email me about joining our DT!
