Weird Love

and here is one more card I made for VSN, this one was inspired by the actual quote that I used on the card...and this is what popped into my head when I saw the quote.


also the challenge over at Stampotique is to make faux barnwood, this was really fun! I'm defiantly going to do it again it was so easy! seariously....for VSN we had a 45 min time frame to make our projects and no joke the alarm went off as I was sticking on my quote...PERFECT! So ya 45 min that's (I had to use my heat gun) but I swear most of the time I was picking colors to use and cutting around my images.... I love these guys!!!

here is another card I made over the weekend. this one was for the dream challenge at VSN


I love this image and when I saw the Shaker challenge at Tiddly inks I just knew what had to be done...I love this card! my senti came from CTMH I thought it was just perfect...I love playing with this card...if DH would ever hand it over....I'm going to have to make him one too...something dark and with monsters...ha ha monsters and glitter :) I made myself giggle :)

here is another card I made for VSN,


this one was for the "You make me happy" challenge, and I don't know why but this card just makes me happy...and it's even pink...and it says happy on it so what more do you need!

I love DD images...I have such a hard time with shading and I love that these images come shaded! there is also a DD challenge this week and it is to make your own buttons, so I took my pink patterend paper and traced a button and cut it out, then I stamped some hearts on it and put UTEE on it to make it shiny like a button..and there I have it...cute lil buttons...it was kinda fun...and good to have something match so perfectly!

A Sooty miss you

this weekend was the VSN at Splitcoast...and I tried to participate as much as I could but I had a terrible migraine today so this will have to do...

I made this card for the "A Sooty Kind of Love" and the challenge was to use the soot stamping technique found here


I used my Holy City stamp from Smeared Ink and the background papers are from old books I got from The Scrap Factory and I chose to do it monochromatic an inspiration I got from this month's Smeared and Smudege Photo Inspiration challenge, and the sketch came from Papertake weekly

Today is my Smeared Ink day...and I have chosen to share a chicks dig guns card with you today.


I think she is so cool! I just love her dress!!


the senti came from Quoth the Raven but the rest is from the chicks dig guns set. I used a technique called thumping on her dress and feather...I saw it on Splitcoast...there is a bunch of action going on over there this weekend...its called VSN and there are a ton of challenges, and thumping was one of them:)

Shannon's Sentiments Challenge Fussy Cut

Today's challenge at Shannon's Sentiments is "fussy cut" so this is my creation.


I used the caterpillars and senti from the spring set.

there is also lots of action going on at Splitcoaststampers today...there is this thing called VSN and there are lots of challenges...this card I'm entering into a challenge from yesterday that was called "mash up" where we were to use 2 or more techniques...I know I have more than 2, fussy cut and embossing I think are my main ones.

I used one of the current freebies, sprinkled some glitter on some ghost flower shapes, it was so cool that i had the glitter to match the one in the picture, this isn't even my week but I had it so I just had to play along. I put the Peace on there digitally.

Smeared Ink Sunday

Today being my Smeared Ink Day I have a few things to share with you, first off is this really cool Shrinky dink bracelet I made.

I'm not sure where I got the original idea but I love it! I used the Holy City stamps and stamped them on the plastic then painted the back with white acrylic paint punched my holes and shrunk...I love the way it turned out!!

I have also made this card using the new Aphrodite digi image that I got for free by entering a challenge this month at the Smeared and Smudged.

I imagined her up in the clouds for some reason...so thats why all the light pinks, the senti I typed up, and the background/patterned paper I made a while ago, by melting crayons directly onto my craft iron and then smearing it on glossy paper. The sketch came from Sketch N Stash, also I'm entering this into StampItCrazy where anything goes, as well as the Desert Islands Crafts Challenge....if you have never heard of it you must go check it out its such a fun challenge, and the contents I used are

1. Monochromatic
6. Only one pattern paper
7. The color Red-her hair is red my camera made it look different.
8. No flowers
9. Swirls

My Bloody Valentine

Every year for Valentines day...for about the past 5 years...me and my DH have watched the movie My Bloody Valenti ne, this year it sparked an idea to create a valentine for him, and with a challenge on my fave blog titled "Love Bites" how could I resist making this


Don't ya love it?!?! I know I do, and my DH did as well...were twisted I know....

at the HDH the description of the challenge is "You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween-based project with a distinctly anti-romantic theme. We know there are dozens and dozens of challenge blogs out there that are challenging you to create loved-up sweet pink goo, and we want you to give your dark side a chance to bite back! Forbidden love, twisted desires, passionate revenge. Let your inner demon out and bludgeon that smug little cherub to death with his own arrows :P"

I thought this fit pretty well...the bloody handed boy holding the chocolate box is from StampInsanity...Sweet Henry isn't so sweet anymore now is he? The heart came from Smeared Ink's Quoth the Raven. I used markers and colored pencils, then for the heart I used markers, then some UTEE, I glued some tissue paper to the box and crumpled it up.

Today is another great day at Shannon's Sentiments...its Challenge day! YAY!! today Becky's Challenge is to create a card/project using Sentiments, here is what she had to say

"After seeing all the beautiful sentiments included in all the new release sets I thought it would be fun to make cards using sentiments only. Any and all embellishments are allowed but no images. So get out those brads, ribbons, buttons, primas and go to town."

for my card today I used the 365 journey quote from Shannon's Sentiments, as well as the banner, I created this card for my Brother In-Law, so I tried to keep it masculine...hope he likes it! I have it printed off for him but my darn camera wont work so you get the digi image today...sorry

this week at the Stamp Insanity blog there is a new challenge, its an ABC challenge...anything but a card....fun huh?

so for this challenge I used Zen Morgan and some peace sign ribbon I had in my stash and decorated a little note book I had.

Suspiria, oh the horror

here is a card I made for the "Oh the Horror" challenge
Oh the horror is where a horror movie is chosen, and you are to make a creation based on the movie or the movie poster.... and this month it is Suspriria
I told this movie to my hubby and he told me how much he liked it and knew I would like it too, so he bought if for me and....well he was right I loved it!
it is so gory and full of suspense, it was a great movie, and it has Joan Bennett in it and I love her! she was in Dark Shadows and that was the best show ever!

so now onto what I created


do ya love it or what?!? I took the movie cover from the DVD and cut it up, then I took my bombshell and wrapped her in wire (like the scene in the movie where she fell in the razer wire...so cool!) and then I took some more wire and made corner pieces and added some metal flowers I got from CTMH.

Valentines day Smeared and Smudged style

Its the February Member Blog Hop!

Over at Smeared and Smudged we were challenged to create a Valentines Day/love themed card without using hearts, the colors red and pink, and anything cute. This was super easy fore me...I hate Valentines day! and I hate pink! my only challenge was to not use red blood...so I went a different direction all together.... and created this

I forgot who made that orange stamp, the background is black glimmer mist, and the quote is printed on velum "This year for Valentine's day, let's have a quiet night at home" It made my DH laugh so I guess that's all that matters!

I just love this Spreader Bar image...I love all the new digi images! The sketch came from the Smeared and Smudged's very sketchy challenge.

Smeared and Smudged Sunday

Today for your Smeared Ink viewing pleasure I have altered a gift box I was given...it was all pink and cute so I had to go all Smeared Ink on it and make it cool!

I used my Quoth the Raven Set and stamped all over a glimmer misted newspaper, then modge podged it onto the gift box...I thought this looked pretty perfect for a v-day present!

I have made my very first all Digital card! wa hoo!!! I'm so excited, I have been playing with it all weekend....and I'm loving it....Susan was my true inspiration she actually gave me allot of tips...

Soul Mates / Shrinky Dink rings

I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!
There are a bunch of great things going on at the Smeared and Smudged Forum allot of changes are going to be made on Monday.....but today I would like to share with you our new DT blog its called Smudgy Antics, each day one of the DT members will have something to share with you...one stop shopin for all your creepy, dark, and just down right awesome desires!

Sunday is my day to share, and I have altered this little box...its actually called a love box they are made by durex to hold condoms ;)


I altered this little box using my Holy City Stamp set, I took the image and modge podged it on my box then stamped soul mates on a flower and glimmer misted one flower red and the other black, then I had to make something to go inside it so I made some Shrinky dink rings

I used the birds from holy city, the heart from chicks dig guns, and the skull from Bo Peep. I found the ring tutorial here
my inspiration to make a box came from Jane our guest DT Febuary Challenge which is to create or alter a box to hold a valentine gift or card....I couldn't wait to enter a challenge this month, starting now Smeared Ink is releasing an exclusive freebie that they are giving away to those who participate in any of the Smeared and Smudged Challenges this month!

isn't she awsome! she is the Dominatrix image from the FemDom Digi set! you must check all of them out they are so fun! I printed her out then chalked around her then I mounted her on some card stalk that I sanded down and added in some glimmer misted book paper from Madness Paper and the twirly thing at the top was chipboard I coverd with some more of that glimmer misted paper then liquid glassed....this turned out alot lighter than I wanted it to but oh well it works I'll just have to make a darker one later:)

StampInsanity Non Traditional V-day

the latest StampInsanity challenge is to create a non-traditional V-Day card. “This can be non-valentiney colors, an image that is different than the usual or something completely your own! Just has to be a valentine.” This was a cool challenge for me because I hate valentines no offense but I always have. I always make sure my nails are painted black on the 14th! stupid Halmark!! Anyways back to my card!

here I have taken my Hilda Devil Doll and turned her into a v-day card

I used my spellbinders Nestabilities and by sliding my folded card-stock in a little and not letting it cut all the way I made a shaped card....I was pretty proud of myself! The senti came from the Sweet Henry Digi set.
