stole my heart

Today is the Smeared Ink monthly hop! wahoo I love these hops and especially when they have a theme like "Do your own thing" because then everyone's talents come out! 

with a one month old and a 2 yr old I don't know how much talent can really shine...my lil man is such a big eater seems like thats all I do...one month old and he already weighs 13 lbs!  he is screaming at me to eat as I type this so I guess I should stop rambling :)

here is what I have come up with as far as my own thing goes :)

mmmm I love me some Norman Reedus! he is so freakin HOT! I watched all of the walking dead when I was big and pregnant and not wanting to move much...then when I had to take it easy after he was born I watched season 4 so now I'm all out of show to watch so I just have to rely on images to make me happy...and this one makes me so happy...jut the thought of Norman with a baby....my baby perhaps ;)

I used gimp and combined my Smeared Ink zombies (the set is called build a zombie, and its available in rubber if you join the club as a past offering I got this in Digi back when it was available.) I put the zombies together using GIMP and then I made my scrapbook page in My Memories Suite...the sketch is actually from last month's very sketchy challenge I just loved it and had it saved on my desktop I just had to use it! oh and the heart paper is also from Smeared Ink its part of the "Poe boy" digi set.

(if you are still reading this, no my baby isn't screaming anymore now I'm feeding him as I type this...multi-talented here!)

Alone again

today is the new release hop for Smeared Ink's I Loved Alone images!
these were some great images to work with! be sure to check out what all the ladies have created (the blog hop list is at the end of my post)

for my creation I played in my art journal a bit, I took the title of the images and was inspired by a song (surprise surprise) the song is Alone Again by Gilbert O'Sullivan.

I  made the background with a gelli plate (homemade) and then I colored my Loved Alone Octopus with some colored pencils, and wrote my lyrics on my page and there I have it...so much fun to make...and I love these octopus images...they are so fun!

Guardian of Spring

hopefully I'm back! my lil one is 3 weeks and 4 days old :D he is growing so fast...he is really filling out...chubby lil man...all he wants to do is sleep and eat! ok but thats not why you are here at my blog...its probably because of the awesome Smeared Ink new image release hop!!!

there is a whole set of images being released they are called Guardian of Spring and I think she is so creepy cool! here is what I came up with...

I used the sketch for the Very Sketchy challenge over at Smeared and Smudged, and a bunch of spring colors...kinda cool how she's a bit creepy but there are flowers and its all spring and pretty...lol I love it...make people do a second glance :) the background paper is made from my Gelli plate (hmmm where is that? I guess I'll have to make another...so much fun!) my girl is colored with pencils and ummm ya thats all the details...not much...ok now onto the rest of the hop with you!
