Smeared Ink/Simply Betty blog hop

The Smeared Ink and Simply Betty DTs are joining forces to bring you a Zombilicious blog hop!

What brought this on? A mutual love for Zombies, of course! Well, that plus Simply Betty is sponsoring 2 of the Smeared and Smudged monthly Challenges. If you enter these challenges you have a chance to win Simply Betty Zombie digis! Not only that but you will get a free digi image from Smeared Ink just for participating! How awesome is that?!

In addition to sponsoring the Smeared and Smudged challenges this month, Betty was generous enough to allow the Smeared Ink DT to work with some of her zombies. Hop around and leave some love then be sure to swing by the Smeared and Smudged forum to join in the challenges!

(yes this all may sound very familiar to you but LB was on the ball and I wasn't....and she said it so beautifully!)

now onto my card

I got to work with the Zombie Lola, and isn't she the coolest?!? and her lil rat is oh so cute (I think his name is Louie) I colored this with my colored pencils, added some distressing ink, and toped it all off with a bottle cap with "hold me" stamped inside (senti from Smeared Ink's Grumpie stamps) I'm not sure if the hold me is Louie speaking or Lola....you decide :)

I had two reasons for adding that bottle cap..one love em and want them on everything...and two it is the junk funk challenge for this month...one of the challenges Betty is sponsoring this month...that and the Rock n Rolla challenge.

here is the hop order in case you started here...or get lost because zombies are eating your brain...

Smeared Ink end of term/new release hop

Today is the Smeared Ink End of Term/New Release Hop...and you should be coming here from the Lovely Black Dragon's blog... I have really been looking forward to this hop especially after I saw all the new images that are being released (pics at the bottom of this post) but the image I got was so perfect for me! I have so many plans...I can't wait to use it on a scrapbook page!!! eek

ok I'll show you what I have made today.....I'm so happy with it!

Its a notebook that I have been keeping all my pregnancy stuff in....like appointments and little bits about how I'm feeling...kinda like a journal just recording things that I think are interesting and that I think baby will like when he/she grows up....and things I'll probably forget...ugh I don't know where my mind is these days!!!!

I used guesso to cover the whole base of my book...I really like that some of the checker still shows threw...I think it gives it a little something more...then I got green, orange, and purple paints and squirted a dab on an old credit card and scraped it across the book to create the background, then I took some shimmery white and painted a spot for my new cute lil dragonfly family to set, then glued that in, then I took the Joy from the Symbology of Angels set and stamped that across the top, and put two little flowers in each corner from the Killer Bo Peep Build a Garden set. and colored them in with some sharpies....

I sure hope you like it and it inspired you a little

here is the blog roll in case you get lost...you should have started at the DT blog....

I love these hops, I love seeing all the creations...and we have a great list today. Its at the bottom if you get lost...you should have come here from Monica's beautiful blog...

The theme this month is to use green and brown as your color combo, and I started with one project but didn't finish it in time so check back on my Smeared Ink Sunday at the Smudgy Antics blog.... I do love the card I created I'm so happy with how it turned out....

I used one of the femdom images and colored her with colored pencils and then added some liquid glass to make it look more like leather...so cool! oh and I used the sketch from the Smeared and Smudge's very sketchy challenge. After the hop stop by and enter a challenge so you have the chance to get a free digi (just for entering) and you could win some other amazing prizes.

Your next stop is my twisted and talented zombie friend Alex

"Strange Skin, one of our monthly sponsors, has offered to give two digis for one lovely winner of this blog hop!!! All they have to do to qualify is leave a comment on each participants blog...it needs to say something about the project...not here's my comment or anything!!!" But you really don't have to I know there are some people (cough me cough) that would prefer if nobody commented :) no I guess thats not nice go ahead....leave these ladys some well deserved love:)

Valentines day Smeared and Smudged style

Its the February Member Blog Hop!

Over at Smeared and Smudged we were challenged to create a Valentines Day/love themed card without using hearts, the colors red and pink, and anything cute. This was super easy fore me...I hate Valentines day! and I hate pink! my only challenge was to not use red blood...so I went a different direction all together.... and created this

I forgot who made that orange stamp, the background is black glimmer mist, and the quote is printed on velum "This year for Valentine's day, let's have a quiet night at home" It made my DH laugh so I guess that's all that matters!

I just love this Spreader Bar image...I love all the new digi images! The sketch came from the Smeared and Smudged's very sketchy challenge.

now go check out the rest of the fabulous girls and how they show there V-day love Smeared and Smudged style! I can't wait to see what everyone has created!!

Edgar's Kiss costume

today is my day to share something from Smeared Ink with you and here it isthey are Edgar Allen Poe KISS atc's...cool huh?

I stamped Poe 4 times and then put kiss makeup on him, then I made a mask of him and stamped and glimmer misted the background, all the stamps for this are from the Smeard Ink set Quoth the Raven, the reason I did this is I got a little inspiration from the Photo inspiration challenge, I know it's only a pic of her dressed as Gene Simmons but I just had to make one of Peter too (he is my fave)...so why stop there Ace and Paul just completed my set.

here is the photo I got my inspiration from
here is a picture of last Halloween....or was it 2 Halloween's ago...I don't remember

I'm Peter (of course) my hubby is Gene (you can see why) and my brother is Paul, my nephew is Ace...sorry the pic is so bad...its actually a pic of a pic but hey you get the idea!

I entered this into the Paper cutz challenge-your chice and the little red wagon-one layer and wonder, as well as Penny's Challenges -anything goes

I used an embossing folder and my image is from Smeared Ink's new digis Femdom! this is such a fun image...there were so many things I could have these ladies saying! I can't wait to create my next card! I tried to keep this one really simple because I think the image just speaks for itself its so great:) the word blocks say "I thought we were friends?" " then why did you talk trash about me?"

Killer bo peep box

Since its a new year the theme was "Something New" try something new, use a new stamp...etc

so I did both, I found this pattern and made a box

here is what it looks like closed
and you open it up it unfolds and here is the inside

pretty cool huh? I don't have anything in the lil boxes just yet...well nothing but paint because I'm messy...but I was thinking of putting like paper clips and thumb tacks in it and putting it on my desk....

the paper I painted and stamped using my (at the time) new candy is dandy background stamp, and then I used my new killer bo peep stamps. I'm in the process of writing up a tutorial so be sure to check back later for that....

thanks for stopping by...here is a list of the other super fab ladies...then head on over to the Smeared and Smudged forum and see what kinda mischief were getting into...

Candy is Dandy / YourStory Recipe book

Today is my day to share a Smeared Ink project with you and I'm so excited to show you...There is a challenge over at the Smeared and Smudged forum, the wonderfully talented Alex has challenged us to make a book....after reading that I knew I wanted to make this one....

my very favorite Dessert recipes all in one place (yes Just Desserts has double meaning) I had so much fun coloring these images up and they were perfect! this is almost all of the stamps from the Candy is Dandy stamp set...but they are the only stamps I used...I colored them with sharpies cut them out and put them all together laminated them and used my new YourStory photo machine and made a super cute book! I hope you can tell how much fun I had with this! I wanted to laminate everything so this book would last...not only am I a messy crafter I'm also a messy cook:) this book actually has 12 pages but the other two had no decorations on them...the recipe took up the whole page...The font I found on the Bombshell Stamp site.
thanks for stopping buy...no go pick up this stamp set and make your own cook book...then take pictures and let me see :)

be sure to stop by the Smeared and Smudged forum there is so much action going on right now! you wont want to miss it...

12th day of Smeared Ink Christmas / angel tin

Welcome to the final day of the 12 days of Christmas!
I wanted to make something super cool but I had like zero time... so this will have to do

I altered an Altoids tin to hold a key chain I made for a Christmas present.

I used an angel from Smeared Ink's symbology of Angels set, I stamped him on some clear plastic and glued some material on the tin then attached it with glue and brads, and on the inside I stamped a senti right on the material. the domino was only stamped nothing to fancy I wanted to keep it masculine but still cool....
the senti and watch stamp came from CTMH

so wadda ya think not to shabby huh?

well I hope you had as much fun as I did on this hop...there are some very talented ladys here! if you have missed anything be sure to check past posts on everyone they are so great! I know I got allot of inspiration...
I entered this tin into the One Stitch at a time challenge blog - anything goes
I would have loved to enter it into more...but I was to late...its already midnight...oh well maybe next time...

have a very Merry Christmas!!!
