Bone to pick with you

Today on the Smudgy Antics blog a new challenge has gone up...YAY for Mondays!

the challenge this week is "bone to pick with you" and you can interpret that any way you wish...I went with the word bone...and used my Death image from Misty Benson's Morbidly Adorable Tarot Set

this was my first time inking up this stamp...and I really must do it more...I love it!
I made the background paper with alcohol inks and rubbing alcohol to give it kinda a marbled look, then stamped my image, and added puffy paint to their eyes to make them stand out more...and then I stamped my "happy Birthday" stamp from the occasions grumpies set (they just look like they are ready to party to me :) added some bling and there I have it!

be sure to check out what the others have created this week, and enter the challenge for yourself...to win a free Halloween digi...
its almost Halloween!!! I'm so excited baby is coming!!!

New weekly challenge

ugh Mondays suck! I'm so tired today...couldn't sleep...I feel like I'm sleeping with a basketball (she is something like 14 inches long and just over 2lb)...I go to the Dr today...maybe he can suggest something....anywho...to help Mondays along the brilliant minds behind Smeared Ink have begun their weekly challenges on Smudgy Antics...starting on Mondays! you know me I love a good challenge!

last week we kicked of the challenges with a week full of them...called it Smudgefest...there were lots of prizes and fun all around! so today for day one of the regular challenges...they are challenging you to "Create a project that features splatter, drops, splodges, or blots." and you must use at least 1 Smeared Ink stamp on your project....

here is what I came up with.

I used the free digi I got from entering last month's challenges and glimmer misted my papers...I made some bigger drops with the blue by spraying inside my glimmer mist lid and shaking it out...pretty cool if you ask me...I really wanted to think outside the box with this challenge...my first reaction was blood...of course...but I really like how this turned out...but now I want to make a bloody card :) I also used a senti from the occasions grumpies and kinda made it an over the hill birthday card...lots of b-days in Aug for me...I also used another of my fave glow skulls...so much fun!
thanks for taking a look...now go see what the rest of the DT has created for you splatter droppy splodgie viewing pleasure!

Grumpie gift card holder

Its the last day of the month and that means I have to hurry and finish all the projects I started to I can get them into the appropriate challenges I wanted to enter...
this one I'm very happy with how it turned out...I saw the tutorial on Youtube a while back and just had to try it...then when the new challenge on the Smeared and Smudged forum "Junk Funk" came out and we had to use an envelope some how...I knew what had to be done...

isn't it so cute?! I used my lil grumpies on the front and my Occasions grumpie on the inside...I think all the words came from the Occasions grumpies set.....

so ya this is made out of an envelope....cool huh? I have a tutorial for it....well kinda I have the pics taken but now I just need to write up the steps...so keep an eye out for that....and if you hurry....like within the next few hours....you'll be able to enter this super fun challenge for yourself.

Welcome to our April Smeared and Smudged Member Blog Hop! There is so much talent on our forum that we love to show it off!! Be sure to check out everyone's offerings and feel free to visit our forum! It's a great place to be!!

Our theme for this hop was to use metal somewhere on our projects.... (thanks for the wording tori :))

for the hop today I have used a min tin and altered it....seeing as how Easter is coming up and I LOVE bunnies....I used my Occasions lil grumpies bunny and stuck him right on the front of this tin...and inside I made little bottle cap magnets (also metal...look at me go!) I used the flowers from the Killer Bo Peep's Build a Garden stamp set and liquid glassed them into the caps....cute lil Easter set ready to give away....or keep because I'm like that :)

now hop on over to Alex's blog and check out her awesomely metal project!

here is the rest of the hop...be sure to start at the beginning...you don't want to miss a single thing!!

thanks for taking a peek:)
side note...this is my very first black and white card....yay me!

Happy Grumpie Birthday

here is a card I made with my new stamps! I got two sets and I'm going to post my second card after it dries, but this one is for my sister in-law and she is very into pink and girly stuff.

I took one of the Occasions Li'l Grumpies and colored her and made all her accessories pink. put her on a pink flower paper and there I have it! I stamped the words that also came with the set in pink, so ya if you didn't get it...this card is very pink...yuck! but I know she'll love it!

have a great Sunday and I'll be hopefully later today with my second card....so stay tuned, same Bat-time, same Bat-channel ... :)
