Bee happy

wahoo its the July member blog for Smeared and Smudged!!! this month's theme is Power it up.

I saw that and I just had to join...oh so fun...and I had a great idea...wanna see?

isn't that just so cool? it turned out just how I had it in my head...don't ya just love it when that happens?
I took the bees from Smeared Ink's Queen digi set and printed them out then I transferred them onto a piece of wood that I painted yellow, then I took it out in the garage and drilled some holes into it (that was fun) and then I brought it back in, added some more yellow, added some texture paste through a small hole stencils, then went over that and the edges with gold...cut my letters out and painted them, then I glued them down and went around the edges with brown...added some more brown throughout the whole thing. oh and I took some paper napkins with big flowers on them and glued it down so it was transparent and awesome! ahhhh I love it! its all grungy and messy and ooohhh it was fun!

~edit: for the image transfer I printed my bees then put down a layer of modge podge then put my bee face down...let it dry, then took water and rubbed away the paper until just my image was left.

ok I think thats enough from me...now go check out the other awesome creations...small but mighty!
