Day 20 Halloween Treats

Today is Thursday and another StampInsanity challenge day...and day #20 for Smeared and Smudged's 31 days of Halloween...and some sad news...I'll be leaving the Stamp Insanity DT after this...I just don't think I can keep up with everything after the baby is born...hopefully I'll be able to come back after I get the hang of things... :( I have had a blast...these ladies rock! so I decided to go out with a bang...I made a super cool project for this challenge Halloween Treats ...check it out
see...super cute huh? I took my two fave images...both Devil Dolls (surprise surprise) Lilith and Kassandra...I colored them with colored pencils...they are kinda tiny so you can't see much detail but they are super cute in person :)

what I did was I took a can of fruit cocktail (the little ones...about 5 inches...I think) opened them upside down (to keep the pop top intact) (leave a little attached...it helps) ate the fruit..mmm... and then washed and let it dry...I then filled it with some tissue paper and candy (all packed upside down) then I hot glued the bottom closed...decorated the sides and tied it off with ribbon....yup I think thats it...I'm planning on giving these to my mom and mother in-law when the baby is born...kinda like a thank you and congrats on being a grandma...and cuz I know they'll appreciate them :)

here are some more pics of the process...hopefully it kinda helps explain what I did....kinda :)
sorry I know thats long, and you have allot to do today...all the Wicked Bloggers and all these Stamp Insanity Groovy Guls...all located on my sidebar...see ya'll around :)

EDIT: I forgot to mention that this fab Devil Doll's Digi set will be given away to a lucky winner, all you have to do is trick out your treat and enter the challenge!

Look how cutting edge and ingenious you are!! Brilliant use of tin cans and so smart to open from the bottom! The new Grandma's are gonna love these almost as much as their new Grandpunkin!

Very cool! I've seen projects like this before. I thought you were actually decorating cans of fruit to give out at Halloween and was going to say, how very wonderful of you!!

we had a neighbor that gave out cans of soda, fruit punch, lemonade and iced tea...cold...she lets the kids pick. I thought that was such an awesome idea, kids gets thirst and dehydrated with all that walking ( Yes the soda isn't ideal for hydration, but still a good idea)

Thanks for reminding me of a great idea and design...I love Lilith and Kassandra!! I won them over at Paper Creations Ink. with my Kitty/pumpkin ATC.

How are you feeling these days? I bet pretty uncomfortable and not sleeping well. (my whole 9th month with all 3 sleeping was hell) with the oldest it was still better than the first 8 months as they were filled with morning sickness most of the 24 hours (for some reason about 7pm til about 10pm I was good) I've been thinking about you a lot these last few days. I hope you and baby are fairing well ,my friend!!
Hugs,
Susan

Super cute idea and execution! The Grandmas will love them when they get around to taking their eyes off the baby. I hope you make it too but don't want to hex you into waiting longer than you need to! Darling little stamps, BTW.
