Devil in Disguise
I was inspired by the Stampotique challenge-Oodles of Doodles...so I filled one whole page up with lyrics (from Kristine's Tune by Gram Parsons and Chris Hillman) and did a border and some squggly lines, I put all that on top of some torn up book paper that I spray inked, then I stamped my girl in black and glued her to the page...this was super fun to make...the dots around each letter did take forever and I probably wont be doing that again :) but the rest was fun...
{lyrics say: She's the Devil in Disguise, you can see it in her eyes, she's telling dirty lies}

PINK
this one is using the song Pink by Aerosmith
I painted my page pink, then used a template and sprayed some black magic glimmer mist, then I made my lil tags and printed my lyrics. I then printed my Dilly Beans image and colored her up, glittered the hearts and then glued everything together...added some fun threads to the tags and I think thats it...
I like that my zombie girl has crazy eyes...this is kinda how I feel about pink...I hate it...but I do like that song for some reason...maybe because Aerosmith ROCKS!

Friday the 13th blog hop
Its time for another Smeared and Smudged member's blog hop!!! and I got to play this time...my lil one has been so good and has given me time to craft! so I made another art journal page...
the theme for this hop is Phobias "WHAT ARE YOU SCARED OF? Step outside your comfort zones and share your phobias" ok so here it goes...now don't laugh...although I wouldn't blame you if you do its kinda silly....but I'm Lepidopterophobic...meaning I'm afraid of Butterflies...crazy huh? it started in middle school...and ever since then they have just freaked me out...I'm not alone...I once read that Nicole Kidman is afraid too (don't know if its true but I saw it somewhere) so here is my page...
this art journal is my musical one, every page is going to have a song lyric on it...so this one has "scared, scared, scared" from John Lennon's song Scared.
I painted my background with acrylics, then I used my lonely boy from Smeared ink and used the toilet paper form technique from the Mixed media university on Smeared and Smudged…then I painted him and glued him on my page. I then printed out a ton of butterflies that I received from the Octopode factory colored them all up added sparkles to some, and glued their bodies down so I could fold up their wings to give them dimension…then I wrote lepidopterophobia and scared scared scared in a white paint pen…and there I have my phobia page…I really like how it turned out…the blue paint is shimmery and the sparkle on the butterflies is kinda cool….
Please stop by the rest of the ladies on the hop to see their phobias (I think there are like 20 awesome huh?) then check out the forum if you like what you see and join us next month ….your next stop (if your going in order) is Lisa Hall
