ok last card for the month....

this one is for the Smeared and Smudged Oh The Horror challenge. The movie this month was "The Bride of Frankenstein" and as a DT member we got to work with Frankiee from Tiddly Inks...


isn't she to die for?!? I had a blast coloring her and that senti just worked perfectly (also from Tiddly Inks) the stitching is a stamp...and that super cute wire heart....ya I made it... cool huh?!?

Its the last day of the month and that means I have to hurry and finish all the projects I started to I can get them into the appropriate challenges I wanted to enter...
this one I'm very happy with how it turned out...I saw the tutorial on Youtube a while back and just had to try it...then when the new challenge on the Smeared and Smudged forum "Junk Funk" came out and we had to use an envelope some how...I knew what had to be done...

isn't it so cute?! I used my lil grumpies on the front and my Occasions grumpie on the inside...I think all the words came from the Occasions grumpies set.....

so ya this is made out of an envelope....cool huh? I have a tutorial for it....well kinda I have the pics taken but now I just need to write up the steps...so keep an eye out for that....and if you hurry....like within the next few hours....you'll be able to enter this super fun challenge for yourself.

Smeared Ink bibs

I had so much fun with the April Guest DT Challenge! I'm so happy with what the theme was...
this is over at the Smeared and Smudged forum if your lost....

here is a direct copy of what Helen said "April heralds Spring. The start of the cycle where life blossoms. We all know of at least one lady in our lives that is pregnant. A new life started. so off to W-mart I went and bought a 6pack of bibs and here are 2 of them (the others are drying or waiting further inspiration)for my Red bib I used The Fool from the Morbidly Adorable Tarot Set...I stamped it with black Stayzon Ink and added stickles to the eyes and the border....


the Yellow one are the oh so cute lil grumpies with the saying "I do what I want" (I fear my child will be like me and my DH....stubborn!)

I made another digi card...this time I used papers from Crafty Chaos Designs...the Creature Feature set...and my Angelica image, the bling came from computer scrapbooks.

I just love the way this turned out so dark and sinister....

today I have a simple get well card to share with you
I used one of my occasions lil grumpies and the sketch from the very sketchy challenge on the forum right now. (hint: if you participate in any of the challenges in the froum you get a free digi)


my nephew hasn't been feeling well...so I hoped this card would cheer him up:)
I used colored pencils for my lil grumpie and liquid glass for his eyes...

Our theme for this hop was to use metal somewhere on our projects.... (thanks for the wording tori :))

for the hop today I have used a min tin and altered it....seeing as how Easter is coming up and I LOVE bunnies....I used my Occasions lil grumpies bunny and stuck him right on the front of this tin...and inside I made little bottle cap magnets (also metal...look at me go!) I used the flowers from the Killer Bo Peep's Build a Garden stamp set and liquid glassed them into the caps....cute lil Easter set ready to give away....or keep because I'm like that :)

New Challenge, use an animal

New Challenge at Shannon's Sentiments!!!!

For this weeks challenge I chose to have you use an animal in your project! the DT has really come up with some amazing creations!

here is mine!


for my card I used some flowers from the garden set, the bunny is from the shower set, and the senti is from the Easter set!

CD Pendants

For my post on the Smudgy Antics blog I decided I'd try a new technique I have just been dying to do...
I altered pieces of CDs to make necklaces!!! how cool are these?

I made the skull one first....not bad for a first try...I cut my cds down to size (tried breaking them but that didn't turn out as well as planned) I used alcohol inks and smeared them directly onto the cd, then put my cd in versamark and added layers of UTEE.... the cd got super hot so be careful if you try it. after that I wanted my skull to stand out more so I smeared it around in my black ink pad....then I made the heart one...again alcohol inks and layers of UTEE...then I stamped my heart and put some black ink on it to make the heart have more detail...both my stamps came from the Quoth the Raven stamp set....a fave of mine!
and now to finish them off with ribbons and beads...I wanted to make some home made paper beads but didn't think about it until the last min....I'll post pics when/if I do :)
