Gonna watch you grow

today is day 4 of Kickstart your art over at the Smeared and Smudged blog...

and today's challenge is Growth!

 so I looked around at my stamps and as always Smeared Ink are the first ones I go to...and I saw my grumpies sitting there and remembered they come in two sizes...so I grabbed the lil one and big one and stamped them and stuck them to a Gelli printed page, then wrote out the lyrics to yet another song (man me and Gellip prints and songs...I think I have problems) the song is Paul Simon's "Father and Daughter" then I noticed I still had some space so I stamped out another lil grumpy and stuck him to the page...so I see it as me and my lil girl and my soon to be lil boy!

Earth Goddess Art Journal page

today is day 3 of Kickstart your art over at the Smeared and Smudged blog...and today's challenge is Easy Found Objects Background Technique.

The tutorial showed buttons, and I thought of using puzzle pieces but then I looked over and saw a beautiful flower arrangement that I received after I found out my Mother in law had passed away...a flower arrangement given to me by some really great friends! And I thought...hey those leaves would make an awesome mask! so I give you my found objects journal page.

 here is what it looked like before...I thought I'd end up covering up allot of the sprayed leaves so I'd take a pic just in case :)

the image is the Earth Goddess from Smeared Ink's Elementals stamps...I dripped some black glimmer mist, and colored my image with pencils except the leaves they were done darker with a marker...oh and the bottom fence and the flowers on the side are from the Killer Bo Peep set.

dragonfly hearts

today is day 2 of Kickstart your art over at the Smeared and Smudged blog...and today's challenge is HEARTS...simple enough...or so I thought.

I have a heart punch and I punched out a few hearts and sat and arranged them in different ways...made flowers and things like that, then I looked at them just sitting there and they kinda looked like dragon fly wings...light bulb!

 kinda cool huh? that main image is from Smeared Ink...I have had it for a while now I really think its retired, and the lil stamped dragonflies in the background are from Mark's Finest Papers...along with the senti...the background of this page is Gelli printed (surprise surprise) and then I added a stamped border and those heart punches I was talking about...I added some glitter to them and then just drew in the bodies...this page was fun for me to make I got to doodle and stamp and add glitter...whats not cool about that?!? hopefully tomorrows page will be dark and awesome...today's was kinda girly :S

Primary Color Drips...let it be

so today is day 1 of KICKSTART YOUR ART!! I really hope I can make it through the week, I think this is going to be a great way to get my mojo back!

today's challenge is 3 Primary Color Drips. and there was a tutorial on how TITBELSOEUR created her page, so I kinda didn't venture to far from the example...I was sorta having problems with this challenge, didn't know what direction to go...I did know the 3 words I wanted to use...that part was easy!

 I created this and used some Smeared Ink stamps from the Inky Dreams set (stamped them in primary colors) and wrote the lyrics to The Beatle's "Let It Be" this song reminds me of my mother inlaw...it was about Paul McCartney's mom and it just spoke to me today....man I miss her!

ok off to bed...can't wait to see what tomorrow's challenge is!

January Smeared Ink DT blog hop

Welcome to the January DT blog hop for Smeared Ink!!

our theme was Anything goes/Your Favorite SI image...which to me is the same thing...if its Smeared Ink...its my favorite :)

 

But I guess if one had to be used...well I couldn't use just one...I used two :) I mad a cover for my new art journal! I'll explain why I made an art journal in a moment...first to show it to you!

 kinda cool huh? so I guess my favorite image is from the Carnies set (I think you can only get them in rubber now so join the rubber club...cuz they are the best) I think its the Bat wings...me and my bats! I also love the Quoth the raven set...and the ravens you will see allot in my work so I stuck him on there too :)

so with my book cover its just an old cereal box that I did some Gelli printing to and then stamped on and stamped on some tissue paper and cut it out and stuck it on top...added a bit of color to the images (and some glitter to her wings) and then the sentis from the Carnies set...on the back I just stamped the heart from the Quoth the raven set (I may do more with the back later but this made me happy for now) and the inside is filled with different pages, allot of them are already Gelli printed but some are blank, some could use more paint, but I just kinda wanted to have a bit of a background ready...it can get kinda intimidating looking at a blank white book page and create something...hopefully this will help :)

those of you that know me and have talked to me know why I have been MIA for the past little bit, but I'm hoping to get back in the game! and what better way than to turn to my new favorite Gelli prints :)

I created some ATCs using some of my Gelli papers, and the Freaky Freebie image from Smeared and Smudged's forum (free digi image to use to enter one of the many awesome challenges for the month)

 I made two ATCs kinda opposites I guess...I don't know I was just messing around and having fun....I use my circle punch and heart punch, a love stamp and with my PHLEM FROM THE MONSTER HEARTS SET I colored him up with markers...it was actually really therapeutic! great way to get me in the mood for February!

January Gelli

so what better way to start off the new year than with a calendar!?!

if you caught my last post you will know I have made a Gelli plate and I LOVE it! I have been making prints like crazy! ohhh can't wait to show what I made...well you get to see a lil slice of my heaven....

its my January page, and I have gelli plated (is that how you say it?) the background, the dates, and the month name...I put did it on a black piece of cardstock, then I got my party grumpie from Smeared Ink and stamped him and colored him...such fun...kinda bummed I covered up such a cool background with so much pink but oh well maybe I'll add more stuff to it through-out the month :)

Gelli printing and Quoth the Raven

ok so have some awesome stuff to share with you guys today....so I have been wanting a Gelli plate for quite some time now, and I was messing around on youtube the other day and came across a TON of videos about Gelli plates and then some on how to make them yourself (score! because they are so expensive) I was worried about them not lasting until I found a video that said if you mix glycerine and alcohol with the gelatine it will last so thats what I did...I put it in a disposable baking dish (its what I had) and let it set for 3 hrs and YAY it worked!

 and here is an art journal page I made from one of my prints using all Smeared Ink stamps...they are from the Quoth the raven set.

oh and I made some masks and stamps and stuff and I made a mask of the raven and then stamped over it...I like how it turned out and I can't wait until I have more time tomorrow to play!

Don't Shoot Me Santa

I really did make Christmas cards this year...they just still haven't been sent to some of the people so I can't post them yet...but this one I made for...myself I guess...I just had fun making it :) that and I really don't like Santa so I was giggling the whole time because this Santa is so evil and I think he is showing his true colors...he is such a killer of Christmas!

the image is from the Serial Killer Santa digi set from Smeared Ink along with the senti...and I colored him up with pencils then added some red glittery blood to his cleaver, then I matted it on a baby wipe that I had used to clean up some black ink with a while ago...I just thought it looked cool so I saved it :) then I added a glittery red snowflake and there it is!!

I was inspired by a music video that someone awesome found (ME) and the song is called "Don't Shoot Me Santa" its the Rock N Rolla challenge video for this month over at Smeared and Smudged. I also followed the sketch at Sketch Saturday!

hope you all had an awesome Christmas...I know I did...I just loved how excited my lil one was with everything!

Sandy Claws

here is a card I created for the current challenge over at the Smeared and Smudged forum! There is a challenge each month called "Oh the Horror" and it is based off of movies (horror movies) and this month the movie is Nightmare Before Christmas! love this show and my lil one loves it too WIN!

so here is what I created

its all digi...I used a sandy claws image from Simply Betty and the papers are from My Memories Suite, I colored him up in GIMP.

Here is yet another Christmas card...I must have been bit by something but I'm feeling super crafty lately!

the image is from Smeared Ink...its actually a digi freebie right now on the Smeared and Smudged forum...for the Freaky freebie challenge! I colored the image with pencils, and then got out one of my new Stampin Up embossing folders and rolled it through the bigshot and then added some red ink to the raised areas and then added some cardboard and some gears from a Tim Holtz border punch, and added a Merry Christmas and there I have it...Smeared Ink's Steampunk Santa! isn't he rad?!?

Wahoo it’s time for the Smeared and Smudged blog hop!

This month’s theme is anything goes…perfect and easy!

So here is what I made

 It’s a waterfall card! And it was kinda challenging for me to make it ovals but hey I did it and it looks cool (I think) here are some more pics…

I got the idea to make them ovals because of the current Very Sketchy challenge at the Smeared and Smudged forum…I hate cutting ovals or circles so my bigshot came to the rescue : ) I use digi stamps from Smeared Ink’s Gothic Christmas set…except the lil solder at the end…he is from my new rubber stamp set I just got from the Smeared Ink rubber club…Rick St Dennis’ Dark Holidaze! The first Season’s Greetings stamp is from CTMH and that ribbon I used at the bottom is from Stampin’ Up.

Candy is dandy bear toy

Today I have an ATC and Christmas present idea to share with you.

 

isn't he cute? I made this ATC for the Smeared and Smudged swap and used this lil bear from Smeared Ink's Candy is dandy set and "rawr" from creepy lil grumpies...and while I was making my cards I was thinking he would be a cute lil stuffed animal for my lil one...so

here he is:) he was kinda a pain in the butt because of how small he is...I guess I wasn't really thinking about the size to clearly...but I think he turned out cute and I really think my lil one will love him!

 I had so much fun creating this journal page..I started a new journal and its short and fat and I think I'm going to love it! I put down layers and layers of paint then colored my image and glued it on then added my words and some marks with my black pen.

here is a Christmas card I made...all digi...using one of Sassy Studio's Designs images...I won her during the sneak peak of their new release!

fun image huh? I colored her up in GIMP then combined everything with MMS...I added some silver bling and sparkly paper...the challenge is Silver or Gold so I went all silver on this and love it!
I also followed the sketch for Sketch N Stash.

today I have a Thanksgiving card to share with you...for all my US friends Happy Thanksgiving...for everyone else...happy Thursday :)

my lil turkey was created with the Stampin Up Owl punch (I just cut off his ears) then the SU scallop punch, and the orange background paper was made by me...and the "gobble gobble" is a stamp from Smeared Ink's Occasions Grumpies.

Anything goes love and hate

this is the beginning of the second week of Anything goes over at Smudgy Antics! such an easy challenge...I love it!
today is also the release of a few new Smeared Ink digi stamp sets...one of them is the Fringe set and that is where my digi image came from

isn't it rad? I added the "love and hate" senti part to it and colored it up in browns and then took some coffee dyed paper and some black and layered it all up and there I have it!

Today is the beginning of a new challenge over at Musically Challenged and this music video is way awesome! so cool I made two projects!

the music video is Falling In Reverse - Bad Girl's Club (if you click on the name you'll go to the video) and here are my two projects and some pictures that inspired me.

 

 

 

these were both done digitally and I followed sketches for both! and both senti's come from lyrics in the song!

I have been thinking allot about my babies latley (one is still in me kicking like crazy) so I created a 2 pg layout of the one not in my belly still...

isn't she a scream! I love this lil girl...she's so crazy all the time!

I took some eyes from Smeared Ink's Anatomy 101 (looking eyes) and then just combined everything and added my pics...I love how this page looks and I can't wait to get it printed and in a book!
