Dr. Horrible ATC

I have another ATC to share with you...
this took more time than it probably looks...but I had fun so it was worth it....
I cut out so much and layered for the first time! I guess its called decoupage...I'm not even sure if I did it right...but like I said it was fun anyways.
 Side view
I colored up my guy then cut him out, then colored up some layers (ya I probably didn't have to color each layer...but hey I'm learning) then I cut them out and then I glued them all on an ATC background I made with blue paints and a cred card...I kinda tried to make it look like the movie poster for "Dr Horrible's sing-along blog" its a movie...and I haven't seen it yet...but it is on my wish list (it has Neil Patrick Harris...I love him) but this was the Oh The Horror movie challenge on the Smeared and Smudged challenge this month...so I used one of my Smeared Ink images from the Creepers set I think his name is Dr Doctor.

I would like to enter this ATC in the following challenges
Smudgy Antics- Pop art
HDH- Movie Madness

Please take a look at my last post (here) for some info on helping a friend in need.

dream within a dream bottle

I have something to share with you today...its something very different than I have ever done...but I loved it so I'm going to do it again!
its an altered bottle! I really like how it turned out...and I took a ton of pics but none of them do it justice!

ok so what I did was, I took an old bottle, and covered it with modeling paste then I glued and stuck some seashells to it, and then I took a stamp from Smeared Ink's Quoth the raven set and stamped some texture on the non seashell sides wrapped the bottom with some strung up seashells...then I took it out and spray panted it black (I wasn't about to go to all that with a brush) then I took my lil girl stamp (Rachel Anderson's Angelic from Sweet Pea stamps) and stamped her and some sand dollars (mark's fines papers) in white paint on some black shrinky dinks then I got my bottle and went over it with some silver and bronze paint, dipped my shrunk angelic image in some sand and tied it off with some twine and some black chains and more seashells. and I think thats it... like I said it looks so cool in person!

the thought and major push behind this was the challenge over at Quoth the Raven (yes I started this about 3 weeks ago..honestly I took it out to paint it and forgot about it) the challenge is the Dream within a Dream Poem by the great EA Poe!

I would like to enter this bottle in the following challenges:

http://craftyourdaysaway.blogspot.com/ - shades of grey and one color (copper)

also...I have a friend that is having an online Scentsy party and a percentage of all the proceeds will go towards Betty to help her son that was diagnosed with throat cancer last October (he was only 17 at that time) so young and I'm sure it has been a major battle but he sounds like a very strong and great kid, so here is a link to Tori's Scentsy party if you would like to help out...I know I just gotta get my hands on some of that lotion! and here is a link to Tori's Blog post about her party if you wanna check it out.

Or if cooking is more your thing my friend Alison is having a Papered Chef party for Betty just follow this link and click “shop online,” and enter “Betty Roberts” in the boxes...here is a link to Alison's blog for even more details on that.

the game is 123 red light

a new week...a new challenge at The Game (ok so I'm late in posting...but I have been having major internet issues!)
the game is red light green light (or 123 red light)
For this game, we are using the colors of a Traffic Light and making some ATCs.
you wont want to miss out on this challenge we have an awesome sponsor ARTchix studios...the winner will receive some collage images, eco boards, ephera and other lil bits simmilar to what the DT has used in our samples...here is mine
I started out with the board and painted it yellow, then I took an image out of a magazine (yellow flowers) and stuck a piece of packing tape to it, then got the back of the paper wet and rubbed off the paper leaving a transparent image then stuck that to my painted background then I took a clipping from my ARTchix collage sheet and stuck that to my board, added my green trim, stuck my senti to my wood leaf, and then I took a bottle cap and hammered it down flat and stuck my "happy artist" image to it and liquid glassed the whole cap. then I stuck it all together and there I have my ATC....I really had fun making it...and now I'm going to try to make more with the other bits I have

Monster ATCs

I made a few creations this weekend...for some reason I craft better when I have 3 things going at once. anyways so I made these ATCs with a few challenges in mind

ok so like I said I had three things going at once and I really like how these turned out so I think I'll hold onto the other for a few days...I originally created this for the Wicked Wednesday ATC challenge "famous monsters" and the sponsor is Strange Skin so I broke out my SS images and went to town! well then I got to thinking about the Smudgy Antics challenge "creatures of the night" well these two are freaky and Freddy has always given me nightmares...he just freaks me out! then I got to thinking about the Haunted Design House challenge "Music Mayhem" so I added in black sharpie the lyrics to the two's songs (they are hard to see in the pics but its really cool because they are there...but not there...I love it) Jason's says "Hes the man behind the mask" and Freddy's says "12...Freddys coming for you" the backgrounds are painted and then I took a smeared ink stamp and stamped some copper paint for more texture. I added some liquid glass to the blood on Jason's image, and the Freddy's blades...oh and if you can't tell they are jagged cut on one side so they fit together perfectly...so cool! I love em and this is why I decided on these guys for these challenges :) I would also like to enter it in the Papelito's challenge "anything that shine" the copper paint has a shimmer to it, and the blood and blades have a shine to them.
