GIU day 5

Today is my last day as a GIU gal and I'm so excited I got to share with you this week! Thank you all for the comments! I really do appreciate it! I wish I could post more than one project a day (like I planed) but I just ran out of time...a 6 yr old, 3 yr old and a 2 month old baby will do that to ya I guess :)

for my final card I created a background and did some paper punching and then made a...what is this called keyhole..whatever I did it was fun, and my little girl loves it...and that's who it was for...so I guess that's all that matters right?

GIU day 4

This is the journal cover I created that yesterday's project is in.

I stamped my unity stamps then just went crazy with inks and paints, then I couldn't think of how to attach this to my composition book...so in came staples to the rescue! I really like this quote on the front of my journal "forget all the reasons why it wont work, and believe in the one reason why it will." I have such a problem with my art and posting it in fear of being rejected but then I figure I wont grow if I don't try, and I do love sharing my work and I love creating things...just sitting down and creating without rules. I think that's what I'm going to fill this journal up with is just some crazy art work and just allot of fun! Do any of you journal?

Today I have a journal page to share with you.

I did the background with acrylic paints, stamped some unity stamps in the background, got some big flower pics and my girl and a quote, I realized to late that I should have only done a one page spread and I didn't have enough for 2 pages, but hey I'm learning, I also think this page isn't done but I don't know what to add to it...any ideas?

and if you were here yesterday you know how it works...so I'm just going to jump right in

this is a little junk journal that I made with some old junk mail, the cover is the only "new" paper I used...and I painted the background, then stamped my unity stamps and I only added a little color to my lil flower at the bottom with some fingernail polish (it I wanted a pastel color and somewhat of a transparency and there was nail polish in front of me so...why not?) I have wanted to make one of these kind of journals for a while now and I'm so glad I did, now I'm creating art and recycling at the same time!

So onto my first project for the week!

I have created this card for...well I don't know who it is for yet..just one of those cards to keep on hand just incase!

I stamped my unity images with stayzon ink and the did some water coloring...I wanted to try my hand at some clean and simple and I love how it turned out!
