Buried Alive ATC

its day 3 of Smudgefest! today's challenge is
So I created an ATC for today's challenge
I kinda based it off of the Smeared and Smudged's Rock N Rolla challenge for this month
the song is Creature Feature - Buried Alive and its a really cool song...they have taken all of EA Poe's work and made a song out of it so I made this
I put the lyrics over some paper I got from Susan's Creepy Chaos (the creature feature set...thought it was fitting) and then I printed that out and inked up the edges and then I stamped my "Never More" senti from Smeared Ink's Quoth the raven set. tied it up with some black sparkly trim and put it on a black base...super cool...if I do say so myself!

I would like to enter my ATC into the following challenges:
Craft Your Passions-Anything goes
No Matter Which- Anything goes
ATCs with attitude- Anything goes

today is the first day! and I couldn't wait to get off work to get something created! here is what I came up with for day 1-Monday Mash Up
I made a grumpie tag and used ribbon, paint, glitter, and stencils my lil guy and all the words came from the grumpies stamp set from Smeared Ink, I painted it all green then masked some blue dots then added my words and ribbon...painted my guy and liquid glassed his eyes...and that ribbon is super sparkly and sticky...there is now glitter everywhere! So glad I got this done and with 3 hrs to spare!

Dr. Horrible ATC

I have another ATC to share with you...
this took more time than it probably looks...but I had fun so it was worth it....
I cut out so much and layered for the first time! I guess its called decoupage...I'm not even sure if I did it right...but like I said it was fun anyways.
 Side view
I colored up my guy then cut him out, then colored up some layers (ya I probably didn't have to color each layer...but hey I'm learning) then I cut them out and then I glued them all on an ATC background I made with blue paints and a cred card...I kinda tried to make it look like the movie poster for "Dr Horrible's sing-along blog" its a movie...and I haven't seen it yet...but it is on my wish list (it has Neil Patrick Harris...I love him) but this was the Oh The Horror movie challenge on the Smeared and Smudged challenge this month...so I used one of my Smeared Ink images from the Creepers set I think his name is Dr Doctor.

I would like to enter this ATC in the following challenges
Smudgy Antics- Pop art
HDH- Movie Madness

Please take a look at my last post (here) for some info on helping a friend in need.

dream within a dream bottle

I have something to share with you today...its something very different than I have ever done...but I loved it so I'm going to do it again!
its an altered bottle! I really like how it turned out...and I took a ton of pics but none of them do it justice!

ok so what I did was, I took an old bottle, and covered it with modeling paste then I glued and stuck some seashells to it, and then I took a stamp from Smeared Ink's Quoth the raven set and stamped some texture on the non seashell sides wrapped the bottom with some strung up seashells...then I took it out and spray panted it black (I wasn't about to go to all that with a brush) then I took my lil girl stamp (Rachel Anderson's Angelic from Sweet Pea stamps) and stamped her and some sand dollars (mark's fines papers) in white paint on some black shrinky dinks then I got my bottle and went over it with some silver and bronze paint, dipped my shrunk angelic image in some sand and tied it off with some twine and some black chains and more seashells. and I think thats it... like I said it looks so cool in person!

the thought and major push behind this was the challenge over at Quoth the Raven (yes I started this about 3 weeks ago..honestly I took it out to paint it and forgot about it) the challenge is the Dream within a Dream Poem by the great EA Poe!

I would like to enter this bottle in the following challenges:

http://craftyourdaysaway.blogspot.com/ - shades of grey and one color (copper)

also...I have a friend that is having an online Scentsy party and a percentage of all the proceeds will go towards Betty to help her son that was diagnosed with throat cancer last October (he was only 17 at that time) so young and I'm sure it has been a major battle but he sounds like a very strong and great kid, so here is a link to Tori's Scentsy party if you would like to help out...I know I just gotta get my hands on some of that lotion! and here is a link to Tori's Blog post about her party if you wanna check it out.

Or if cooking is more your thing my friend Alison is having a Papered Chef party for Betty just follow this link and click “shop online,” and enter “Betty Roberts” in the boxes...here is a link to Alison's blog for even more details on that.

the game is 123 red light

a new week...a new challenge at The Game (ok so I'm late in posting...but I have been having major internet issues!)
the game is red light green light (or 123 red light)
For this game, we are using the colors of a Traffic Light and making some ATCs.
you wont want to miss out on this challenge we have an awesome sponsor ARTchix studios...the winner will receive some collage images, eco boards, ephera and other lil bits simmilar to what the DT has used in our samples...here is mine
I started out with the board and painted it yellow, then I took an image out of a magazine (yellow flowers) and stuck a piece of packing tape to it, then got the back of the paper wet and rubbed off the paper leaving a transparent image then stuck that to my painted background then I took a clipping from my ARTchix collage sheet and stuck that to my board, added my green trim, stuck my senti to my wood leaf, and then I took a bottle cap and hammered it down flat and stuck my "happy artist" image to it and liquid glassed the whole cap. then I stuck it all together and there I have my ATC....I really had fun making it...and now I'm going to try to make more with the other bits I have

Monster ATCs

I made a few creations this weekend...for some reason I craft better when I have 3 things going at once. anyways so I made these ATCs with a few challenges in mind

ok so like I said I had three things going at once and I really like how these turned out so I think I'll hold onto the other for a few days...I originally created this for the Wicked Wednesday ATC challenge "famous monsters" and the sponsor is Strange Skin so I broke out my SS images and went to town! well then I got to thinking about the Smudgy Antics challenge "creatures of the night" well these two are freaky and Freddy has always given me nightmares...he just freaks me out! then I got to thinking about the Haunted Design House challenge "Music Mayhem" so I added in black sharpie the lyrics to the two's songs (they are hard to see in the pics but its really cool because they are there...but not there...I love it) Jason's says "Hes the man behind the mask" and Freddy's says "12...Freddys coming for you" the backgrounds are painted and then I took a smeared ink stamp and stamped some copper paint for more texture. I added some liquid glass to the blood on Jason's image, and the Freddy's blades...oh and if you can't tell they are jagged cut on one side so they fit together perfectly...so cool! I love em and this is why I decided on these guys for these challenges :) I would also like to enter it in the Papelito's challenge "anything that shine" the copper paint has a shimmer to it, and the blood and blades have a shine to them.

this one I created for the Stampotique challenge thats going on right now...the challenge is "outside the box" here is my creation.

the game is Hopscotch

there is a new challenge over at The Game I hope you'll come play with us...the game is Hopscotch
You are to create something you can hang on the wall or a door, it must be no smaller than 4" X 4".

Write down the 8 items and toss them in a bowl (hat).
Pick  out two from your hat (bowl). You will use those 2 items in that number. You of course, may use other items in your creation,
but you MUST use the items you chose.
so I have created this 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 wall hanging

I drew out #1 and #3 so I used 1 Delicious Doodles image and 3 textures, for the first I took some yellow paper and covered it in white glue then painted it with black acrylics then dried it and it cracked, then I took some white paper and coverd it in corstarch pasted that I tinted with black paste and made lil peaks and stuff to give it texture, then I added some UTEE over my image (just sprinkles) to make it look bumpy and cool.
so there are my textures...the image I just colored the rose...I love how it turned out...oh and to make this hang on the wall I added a soda tab as the hanger :) now I'm good to go

I would like to enter this into the following challenges
Delicious Doodles: 1 image 2 colors 3 textures
Crafts and Me: Anything goes
Simon Says Stamp: anything but a card

I'm watching you

I finally got around to playing with one of my new Kenny K images! I created something for a few different challenges...here is what I came up with

isn't she awesome! her name is Delores Dammage, and she was lots of fun to color.
I used pencils then added a bunch of glitter to her hair and boots, the black paper is tissue paper glued to CS, the red paper is red acrylic paint, and the patterned paper is stamped with my tattered angels flowering vine stamp. then I stamped my senti from Smeared Ink's grumpies set.
For the Kenny K challenge I added allot of "Jazz" like I said all the glitter then ten lil gems. I followed the Sketch at Smeared and Smudged's very sketchy challenge, and I think its Pretty Creepy (smudgy antics) with an Eerie Elegance (HDH) ;)

Somebody that I used to know

I have another art journal page to share with you
This one is clearly inspired by the music video Gotye- Somebody That I Used To Know

if you haven't heard this song you must! it is awesome!!! I downloaded it and now neither me nor the hubs can get enough...seriously I just had it on repeat like 5 times :)

for this page I made all the lines...not sure what to call them...but they are shapes, and it was fun...then I took out my acrylic paints in browns silvers and greens, and painted all the spaces, I printed out my girly pin-up (from Ike's Art) and colored her hair then painted her skin to match, after everything was dry I wrote the lyrics in some of the spaces and took out my cuttlebug and cut out the title to the song...I really like how it turned out and it was so much fun to do...you may see something similar in the future.

oh ya the reason I chose this music video is well I didn't choose it Smeared and Smudged did...every month they have a new video to inspire us to create..its called the Rock N Rolla challenge.

I would also like to enter this page in the following challenges:

Bombshell May Blog hop

Today is the bombshell hump day hop and the theme is May Celebrations...what we were to do is to pick a holiday that is celebrated in May...there are allot to choose from
and on May 18th it was No dirty Dishes day so I have created a page inspired by that....

that flower is created by plastic spoons...plastic spoons = no dirty dishes :)
I melted them over a candle and formed them into a flower...this was my first attempt and I don't think it turned out so bad...I did spray paint it black because I burned it a few times...but thats ok I probably was going to make it black anyways :)
the page is a two pocket album page I found the how to on youtube, it was some patterend paper that I didn't like but after some crackel paint and acrylic paint it turned out pretty cool. I stamped my bombshell and colored and cut her out, then stamped the word heartbreaker right on my page, and made two tags to go inside my pocket....

wadda ya think? kinda cool huh?
hopefully my next spoon flower will be better and there will be a next as it was kinda fun to make
no go check out the rest of the Gals! here is the list

I took my two Stampotique images and stamped them and colored them up, then I painted my pages purple and those black things (with the staples in them) are actually grocery bags...cool huh? I melted them! there is a junk funk challenge at Smeared and Smudged where you reuse some junk and grocery bags was the junk of the month :) so I glued my people down and my song lyrics down and added some bling to the bow tie, her necklace, shirt and headband, then some glitter around my words, and there I have it

I would like to enter this into the following challenges....
Dilly Beans-Bling

a new challenge blog!

Its finally here! the first challenge of the Game...a new challenge blog for all kinds of art (therefore we have made an adult content warning...just incase)...you must go check out what the DT has done...we are so diverse!
The challenge is a tic tac toe board and all you have to do is get 3 in a row (you know the game)
here is the board
and here is my creation

I used an image I found on deviantart by Paulee1 and all I did was I added glossy accents to her axe.

for the challenge I used dry embossing...I embossed my paper then took my brayer and rolled some purple and orange paint over the raised parts. I added eyelets to the corners of my main image, and staples wherever I could...the flower was made from the TH tattered florals die.
now go check out the challenge blog for yourself and see what the other awesome girls have created, then enter this challenge for yourself...here is the link

speaking of challenges...I also would like to enter my card into a few others, first off there is the Quoth The Raven challenge blog, the challenge is based on the short story The Pit and the Pendulum...see the pendulum behind the girl...creepy huh?

next is the Smeared and Smudged "very sketchy" challenge...trust me I started with the sketch but it kinda evolved into this.

~Edit~
I forgot to mention how my flower was made
there is one purple flower on the bottom that is just card stock but the black ones are coffee filters I got wet and painted with black acrylic paint.
