today I have a scrapbook page to share with you...its my cute lil one and her toy I made

 

 isn't she the cutest?!? I love her! (sorry you don't get to see her face very well...DH won't let me)
I followed the sketch for smeared ink's very sketchy challenge (the scrapbook page) and I had to make it a square collage instead of the oval...hope that works....and I used some lil bats from smeared inks "a little bit batty" set (also the inspiration behind my page title) and since I used so many bats I thought I'd enter it in the HDH challenge this week Bats in the belfry
 

and here is a pic of just the bat....isn't he kinda cute? I just had an idea to make a bat the other day and drew something up cut it out and sewed it up....my sewing skills aren't the best but a 11mo old doesn't know that :) I put grocery bags in his wings so they crinkle a little...and I just used felt for his eyes...so she doesn't choke on buttons...and his back is black flannel stuff (its really soft) so there you have it my creepy cute bat. I would love to make more but those wings were a nightmare!

I used a horse from third coast...I think he is the crypt horse but I'm not sure...I'll try to look it up sometime today....anyways...I stamped him...then colored him grey and his lil sash red and gave him some green eyes...then added some liquid glass to the bones on his back and the skulls, and his eye...then I stamped my senti using a CTMH stamp...took some TH ink in festive berries and iced spruce and distressed the background...I took some of my black crinkly paper and mounted it...then put it all together....whadda ya think? creepy cool huh?

sweet halloween day 6

day 6 is upon us!!!! and I have a lil Halloween decoration to show you...my lil one helped me make it (kinda cute I know but bare with me...I'll try to get creepy this weekend)

isn't it cute...you can't tell me those aren't the cutest lil hands ever?!?! also can ya tell I went and bought some googly eyes...ha ha yesterday's project now todays... anyways we painted her hands then stamped them then I drew a web with a white paint pen...then I took some foam letter stamps and stamped eek....I love how it turned out...I actually made two but the other I'm saving just in case I fall behind on my projects for the month :) I think its a great lil keepsake for her....her ha ME :)

wahoo its FRIDAY!!!!! I'm so excited for this weekend! it has been such a long week and I want to be crafty! and snuggle with my baby! but thats not why you are here...most of you are here for my Smeared and Smuged 31 days of Halloween day 5 creation! so here it is

whatcha think kinda different huh? I used Daniel Torrente's 3 Smiles for my main image, then I used Smeared Ink's Happy Halloween stamp from the lonely boy and puff set...I just took some alcohol ink and put a drop then blew it with a straw to make it splatter, sprayed it with some glimmer mist and put it on some crinkly black paper...kinda simple but I like it...oh then I added some white to their teeth and added the googly eyes...it made me giggle :)

Smeared and Smudged 31 days of Halloween day 4!!! wahoo baby is feeling better! that was a terrible terrible thing...worst two and a half days ever...I felt so helpless...thanks for all your comments you guys rock!

ok so onto why your here....I have created some lil Halloween containers take a look

aren't they cool?!? the stamps are from third coast (speaking of did you see my domino yesterday on the Sharpie queen blog....kinda cool huh?) anyways so I took some regular paper and soaked it in coffee then tore the edges and let it dry then dipped the edges in again, then stamped my images, wrote what ingredients I was planning on putting in there...then tied it with some coffee dyed cheesecloth.

I love making these! and these are only the first of my set...more to come :)

Day 2

welcome to Day 2!!! today I have a matchbook to share with you...its one I made a while back for a swap and never posted pics...and since its midnight and I'm just now getting off work (midnight) I think this is a good time to use a backup :)

its all about bats! I used a bunch of bat images from the "little bit batty" digi set from Smeared Ink, then some bat stamps I have (I love bats and I kinda collect all things bats....you'll see) the background paper of each page is stamped differently...and the crown on the front is sparkly the cover bat image came from Close to my heart the back cover bat is from Inkadinkadoo. its held together by brads, and then there are lil clay bats glued to the top too...each bat was colored then glued in...then I used wax (lol candle wax because I couldn't find my regular bees wax...so it smells nice) and I just melted it on each page with a craft iron to give it a different look...I love how it turned out and I hope my swap buddy did too:)

Day 1

 wahoo its finally here! 31 days of Halloween Smeared and Smudged style! today is day one! so be sure to start at the beginning so you don't miss any of the Awesomeness!!! there is a big list so I'll try to keep it short and sweet!
here is what I made a lil bit ago for a Halloween decoration swap...this was given to my Canadian friend Karen.

he started as just a regular lil yellow rubber duck...and now look at him! he thinks he's a raven :) I stamped images from the Smeared Ink Quoth the raven set on some tissue paper then glued it on my orange painted duck...painted his beak black and added a ribbon and some jewels for eyes...I love how it turned out and I hope Karen does as well!

Blind Faith

I have been in such a funk...I have lost my mojo and don't know where to find it! hopefully it returns soon...31 days of Halloween is coming up (smeared and smudged style) speaking of smeared and smudged, I realized were getting towards the end of the month and I haven't entered any of their challenges this month :( weird I usually enter them all! so here is my entry to the Very Sketchy challenge as well as this week's Smudgy Antics Black Bird challenge

I took the page we are to create a sketch with and literally used it...this is all done digitally...I colored my goth angel in Gimp and then compiled everything in My Memories Suite. (senti is a song I have in my head by Warrent)

There is a new challenge over at The Game 

(in case you haven't heard of The Game...it is a fun challenge blog where there are "games" every other week, and you just need to create a piece of art...anything...and I mean anything goes...we even have an adult content warning just in case)

This week the game is Hide N Seek

You are challenged this week to create an ATC with a hidden element; pocket, slide-out, roll-out, folded etc.

So I took my new Queen of hearts digi image from Smeared Ink and created my ATC with that

 I colored it up with my pencils then I added a door with a lil heart brad and you open it to find.....

 

oh so frightened Alice :) I mounted it all on a Queen of hearts playing card that I had alcohol inked red.

Along came a spider

today I have a journal page to share with you...this one was inspired by the current Smudgy Antics challenge "Itsy Bitsy Spider" they want us to turn nursery rhymes into something scary or creepy.  so.......

whatta think? creepy cool huh? I used my new lil miss Muffet digi from Smeared ink and colored her up with my pencils...then added some more black to her makeup, then I painted my pages background red, and took some black streaks to it, added my image and my quote (taken from Alice Cooper's song) I added some liquid glass to her name, and some stickles to her spider, and added some some big sparkly spiders and some lil punch out spiders added some hourglasses to make them black widows, and...I think thats it...I love how it turned out!

StemPunk Domino Book

There is a challenge over at Third Coast…it’s an altered domino challenge….so I made my first Domino book!

 

Isn’t it cool? All the images I used are from 3^rd coast….I lightly colored my stempunk girl and added some liquid glass to the clock on her had, and her arm bracelet….I added some gold to the edges of my book and some details on my girl image, and added some UTEE to the dominos and tied it all up with a ribbon….I love how it turned out….on my next one I’m going to do things differently but this one is ok for now : )

Skull keeper birthday

today I have a dragon card to share with you

I colored him with pencils and made an extra copy of him so I could cut out his head and wings and make them stand out more...then added some sand to his ground and the corners, the background paper was made by me and then I stamped it with my happy birthday senti from CTMH....I created this lil monster card for a few challenges over at Smudgy Antics the challenge is Dragon Tales...so I used my new Smeared Ink Skull Keeper digi....and over at the HDH the challenge is Hiding in the corners.

Goth Birthday

I had so much fun coloring her and fussy cutting her out! I and I just love purples and greens together! now that I think of it I should have made that skull purple...oh well
my image is from Smeared Ink's Goth Fairies set, and the words are from the Occasions Grumpies set....I cut the green patterend paper then sketched on it and painted in the spaces with black acrylics :)

Take these broken wings

today's challenge for Smudgefest is Saturday's Song...and we are to take something from the song Black Bird...by The Beatles....ya'll know how much I love The Beatles so I had to create something awesome...and here is what I created

I just love how it turned out....I watched a youtube video yesterday by Sparkle Tart Kate and she made a background like this...I took a rope and twirled it up and glued it down...then I added some napkins for more texture...then added some glimmer mists and some salt on top of that...this looks really cool in person...then I glimmer misted some paper and printed some lyrics on that. I stamped my wings from the Quoth the raven stamp set from Smeared Ink, then I stuck them in my melting pot with some UTEE and at the last minuet thought to add a second layer...so I cut a new layer melted that then just hot glued them together...I stuck all that on a chain held up by a brad....and there I have my super cool fat page!

Day 5 of Smudgefest is upon us! today is Freebie Friday we were given Lil red riding hood to work with and here is what I came up with

I took my girl from Third coast and colored her up...then I made a background with blue embossing powder and a stamp from Smeared Ink's Quoth the raven set. and cut out my papers and stamped my Goddess stamp (again from Smeared Ink) and added some blue hemp and a lil black and yellow button...and there i have it :)

I followed the sketch from this month's very sketchy challenge at Smeared and Smudged...

and I used allot of yellow for the TCRS challenge

its day 3 of Smudgefest! today's challenge is

So I created an ATC for today's challenge

I kinda based it off of the Smeared and Smudged's Rock N Rolla challenge for this month

the song is Creature Feature - Buried Alive and its a really cool song...they have taken all of EA Poe's work and made a song out of it so I made this

I put the lyrics over some paper I got from Susan's Creepy Chaos (the creature feature set...thought it was fitting) and then I printed that out and inked up the edges and then I stamped my "Never More" senti from Smeared Ink's Quoth the raven set. tied it up with some black sparkly trim and put it on a black base...super cool...if I do say so myself!

we are to upcycle something and I chose a ribbon spool....take a look

I just put a lil black headed pin for the lid to swivel on for it to open, I used Smeared ink stamps the raven inside and the mesh around the borders...I used black paints around the edges and the base and some green decorative paper that I made with acrylics....I made the flower using the Tim Holtz tattered florals die...I really did have fun making this and I see more in my future...this one is going to be a jewelry box....now what to put in it???????

YAY ITS HERE

today is the first day! and I couldn't wait to get off work to get something created! here is what I came up with for day 1-Monday Mash Up

I made a grumpie tag and used ribbon, paint, glitter, and stencils my lil guy and all the words came from the grumpies stamp set from Smeared Ink, I painted it all green then masked some blue dots then added my words and ribbon...painted my guy and liquid glassed his eyes...and that ribbon is super sparkly and sticky...there is now glitter everywhere! So glad I got this done and with 3 hrs to spare!

Dr. Horrible ATC

I have another ATC to share with you...

 this took more time than it probably looks...but I had fun so it was worth it....
I cut out so much and layered for the first time! I guess its called decoupage...I'm not even sure if I did it right...but like I said it was fun anyways.

 I colored up my guy then cut him out, then colored up some layers (ya I probably didn't have to color each layer...but hey I'm learning) then I cut them out and then I glued them all on an ATC background I made with blue paints and a cred card...I kinda tried to make it look like the movie poster for "Dr Horrible's sing-along blog" its a movie...and I haven't seen it yet...but it is on my wish list (it has Neil Patrick Harris...I love him) but this was the Oh The Horror movie challenge on the Smeared and Smudged challenge this month...so I used one of my Smeared Ink images from the Creepers set I think his name is Dr Doctor.
